Wow, that was amazing. December can't come quick enough !!!
Yes Thats Radagast
Really, I thought it was Beorn?
no Beorn is being played by Mikael Persbrandt
that was definitely Radagast heres a Pic of him
I don't think we will see Beorn in the first film
That was a great trailer. I'm glad that they're adding some other stuff to it to connect it with Lord of the Rings. The only thing off the top of my head that really connects the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings is the Gollum scene, Bilbo and Gandalf. Even though The Hobbit is a very good book, it's mainly a story about some dwarves getting their gold back compared to the high stakes quest in Lord of the Rings to save the world. I think it's going to be a great movie and I trust Peter Jackson.
I need to re-read the book, but what is happening to the dwarves on the mountain cliff? Who or what is throwing rocks?
those were the stone giants throwing rocks at the dwarves,
and one of the giants appeared to be falling
Man, I don't remember that at all. Was it a short scene in the book?
I like that Gollum looks younger. He's a bit more fleshy, with less wrinkles.
I Don't remember how long it was, but it was in chapter Over Hill and Under Hill
right before they get captured by the goblins, if I'm remembering correctly
Gimli is in this right?
I Think he will make a Cameo, it Hasn't been confirmed yet though
Legolas however will be in it for sure!
Can't believe it's coming out on my 18th birthday. BEST. BIRTHDAY. PRESENT. EVER.
Looked more like the Doctor to me, wonder where he stashed Ace and the tardis.
In the book it just mentions the stone giants throwing rocks about during the storm that the dwarves shelter from, I guess it's tweaked for the film to add more drama.
Seems to be a habit of the book.
"This real awesome thing happened, but you missed it. You woulda loved it. Here's a song instead."
Far over, the misty mountains cold........
I could listen to that for hours
Awesome trailer. It's looking good! Ian McKellen is so perfect as Gandalf. Delivering a line as simple as "because I'm afraid, and he gives me courage" (paraphrasing) oozes awesomeness when it comes from Sir Ian. I think Martin Freeman will give a great performance as Bilbo too.
Did everyone see the "alternate endings"? They are pretty good and show some more lighthearted moments.
This puts me in the mood to rewatch LOTR.
His Dad, Gloin, is one of the Dwarves on the Quest. I wouldn't be surprised if Gimili made an appearance in the third film though.
New poster featuring Beorn! (he's on the top left, and is awesome)
