I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to push it incrementally to $25 like they did with $20.

i dont doubt thatll happen long term, but it too a good long while to go from $10-$20, with at least three incremental increases between bw and tlk ($12, $15, $17)

I've been charged, but mine still hasn't shipped yet. My DotM Optimus (which had the same release date) hasn't shipped either.

 

FWIW, my credit card had sent me a new card in the interim between my order and when HasbroPulse was charging others (same number, but new expiration date = "rejected"), and so I got a message informing me of the problem. I corrected the issue that same evening, but they still haven't done a second go-round to charge my card yet.

Hasbro won't raise prices per line dependant on where pieces were manufactured because regardless of where the figure is produced, odds are that some part of the production process (packaging, warehousing, shipment, etc.) is in China, it will be across the board because that's the only way for the increases to amortize across all brands and keep the individual per piece increase lower. And the idea that "most Transformers are made in Vietnam" is irrelevant in this sense. These tariffs WILL drive a price increase on these products, even if they were removed tomorrow. I doubt we'll see $30 deluxes overnight (it won't go that high), but once Hasbro hits whatever price point they settle at (I expect it will be more than pennies per item), don't expect them to drop the prices even after this ridiculous "trade war" is over with.

ok, so if you actually read my whole post,
A: it was in response to someone claiming deluxes would be $30 next year
and
B: I even said that if they spread the cost across all brands regardless of where manufacturing occurs then it'll likely be a negligible increase overall. hell unless you buy from pulse, amazon or brick and mortar you already pay higher prices anyway since stores like bbts charge $22 for a deluxe instead of $20

 

I wasn't arguing with you whatsoever, just expanding on your thoughts for those that don't understand this whole situation.
