Honestly the first time I've ever had this happen but it had to be on the super expensive made-to-order irreplaceable figure!  

 

They've pulled that on me a couple of times, and even now I have something that is supposed to be here today that's been delayed, and had something else last week that got delayed a couple of days.

Not feeling too confident on my two Star Sabers arriving to me on time Tuesday, and my third one hasn't even shipped out yet.

 

So guys, should I go to work driving for FedEx? Become part of the solution? Lmao. @vvvTheONEvvv what do you think?

 

That is when you pull a chair out, and sit in the front yard. May not do much, but they at least can't pull that shit as much, better yet, sit near the curb and wait

All joking aside though, I really don't understand this behavior from these drivers. Like, I used to be a retail manager for both Target and Wal-Mart. I understand that this time of year can be busy and overwhelming. But you know what I never did no matter how busy or overwhelmed I was? I never cut corners or half-assed my job. If these guys can't hack it perhaps get into another line of work? Especially since these FedEx drivers deliver medical supplies and medications through the mail now. My delivery was just an action figure and something I can wait to get later. Sure it's frustrating, but whatever as I'm just slightly inconvenienced. But a friend of mine had some insulin being delivered that he had to sign for. His FedEx driver pulled the same stunt and my friend needed the medication that day since he'd run out the day before. That's potentially life and death you know?

 

 

That's me. Literally. Before I shifted careers, I was a manager with three companies at multiple levels from junior to store manager. It was brutal in the holidays and I was right on the front line being screamed at, pulled in every direction, but I took care of the employees, the customers, and the job in that order. It wasn't easy, I worked a lot of 12-14 hour days, and I regretted the family time I lost enough to leave and restart my career. Even now, as much as I joke about it, I start in the home office at 7 and finish at 530 or 6. There's down times, but my company gets their 40 hours of projects done each and every week.
If people are relying on you, especially for life sustaining items, take pride in yourself and get things done.

(This, BTW, does not excuse the companies completely destroying their employees to generate bonuses. Screw those guys.)
