My Pulse Premium expired. I will renew but trying to be smart about it. I’m expecting to want to pick up some Black Friday deals so waiting for that. BF is November 25 but NEXT year it is November 24, so if I wait for BF I can be covered for this years Black Friday sale AND next year’s.

 

^^^^ while i will say the early arrivals have been annoying once or twice i dont mind although i am low on shelf space lol certain new figures i've gotten just go straight to a box/bin with some of my other figs lol or swap them out with figs already on the shelfs definitely plan on getting a new bookcase soon when i move

I partially agree with you, but I rarely if ever hear people cancelling something if it's too late (unless we're talking months and months and months, but I don't think that's what you mean-- and even in that scenario, they would just buy it from eBay or another store or something). I suppose presents might fit into this category, but little else.

Meanwhile, I have not seen anything like the non-stop avalanche of product that Hasbro has just continually released since about late July. Wave after wave after wave, exclusive after exclusive after exclusive. Part of it was understandable for a while, okay they tried to overly pad out in case of supply chain issues, no one's perfect, we get it. That should have been past by now. It's obvious that whatever's going on, supply chain issues aren't really affecting Hasbro toys in terms of delays. People can budget fine, they can set aside SOME extra money for unexpected stuff, sure. But I have spent more on toys since late July than I have in any other similar time frame ever, and it's a bigger increase than just inflation can claim credit for. It's insane (and I'm not even a completist anymore).

Eventually with a non-stop glut of product, there are several people like me that are like "%$&* it, I'm done then I guess". (That's not the only reason I'm done with Hasbro-- there's several more-- but it is a significant one.) You cannot play havoc with people's finances for that long. Sure there's always a big wave now and then, but lately it just doesn't. STOP. And you rarely know what's going to go out of stock/not be produced or ordered enough/etc.

So 3rd party and Beastboxes are it for me going forward, I guess. Toy collecting should not be stressful, and this was becoming quite stressful. Ultimately my credit score is more important than toys. So I guess I'm just done, my only Hasbro toys left to get are those in my current POL.

 

Charged for the Legacy Wave Three Deluxes overnight. Hopefully GI Joe Classified Sgt. Slaughter is the last "early release" for the year but I would not complain if Evolution Wave 1 Deluxes arrived before the ball drops New Year's Eve 2022.

 

Whoever said Pulse needs a POL or order stacking feature was completely right. It would be so nice to get these all in one box!!

I keep retreating myself… but what’s the difference between having the earlier release date and just “knowing” it’ll probably be 2-3 months early? If you budget based on the early pattern, it’s no different than if they had given us the earlier date. You still need the money at that time. The Legacy Evolution stuff “says” March, so I know I need them paid off by mid December because that’s when they could hit. Will they definitely hit then? Nope. But they could based on the last two years of patterns, and I don’t want to be blindsided. It would be no different than if Hasbro gave them a December 1st release date.

 

Hasbro has been releasing stuff early for like a year and half 2 years at this point, if you’ve been in the game and collecting you should know this. Budget for about 2-3 months earlier than the expected date. It’s simple

 

I've been watching for international/first sightings. US seems to get them about 2-3 weeks later...

Charged for dead end and Pointblank. I have Skullgrin on preorder at BBTS and he's the only one they have not received yet for some reason. Hopefully this chills for a little, although I am pretty sure that Holiday Prime and Magnificus will be hitting in the next week or so probably.

I had been on the fence about Skullgrin when I ordered the others, but when I finally decided to get him I ordered him separately.

EDIT: Interestingly enough Skullgrin is coming from PA, while Inferno and Hot Rod are coming from GA. Wonder which warehouse Dead End and Pointblank will be shipping from...

 

Got my Lazerbeak! I mean Rumble. I went ahead and ordered one even though it had the wrong description. But I noticed Lazerbeak had been up for ordered for almost a week. So it had to be Rumble. It paid off.

 

I would love that, but I have a feeling the logistics and costs to house the quantity I assume they deal in would be a nightmare. I have the premium, so I don't care about shipping costs, but I just have no idea what the hell is arriving these days or what carrier (though Fedex gives me the texts), just surprise packages every day or so. Got notice that UPS delivered (what ended up being) Ironhide the other day and figured it was handed off to the post office. Went to take out my recycling to the end of our longish driveway (probably 300ft) and found it on the ground behind the gate.

 

Nope, couldn't bring myself to justify the cost for the "Privilege" of shopping early. I actually don't order much from Pulse as I find their CS to be wanting.

 

Speaking of CS, do they not do online chat anymore? Haven't been able to bring that up...still waiting for their refund too via physical check which I find kind of hilarious, instead of a credit card refund...

Lame...why did they get rid of live chat? Yeah, mine got shipped but according to them got returned back because of an incorrect address..which is weird since their stuff gets to me fine..even requested it to get it expedited to me, and yet to hear back from them...
