The Feb 15 date is odd considering I've seen a couple other fan channel sites claiming that they're shipping. Frankly I had assumed it was imminent. This is a surprise.

 

Guess it's stuck on a boat. I'm kinda glad it's delayed. Spend the money later.

 

Yeah. I'm close to done with my run on this hobby, the extra delays are making it more feasible to finish.

Got notifications for shipping delays on SG Starscream and PF Megatron. Also got shipping notice for GS Galvatron.  

 

I don't wanna be chasing these things forever, not while distribution is so precarious. I'll maybe grab a few odd things here and there in Legacy but I'm nearly done with everything I've wanted from 3P\WFC and there's a very limited amount of older things I want. The newest stuff isn't impressing me quite as much, and with prices rising and quality not necessarily keeping pace, trying to get the exclusives is more stress than enjoyment sometimes.

 

Just got done watching the Rancor livestream. Fans are not happy with the tiers. The campaign appears to have actually LOST about 20 backers during the stream after the announcement of the tier goals. edit: It's basically in freefall now. They are going to drop back below 5,100 soon.  

Are we expecting back-in-stocks today?

Frankly Legacy is looking like a major mixed bag, and I couldn’t care less about Studio Series figures of characters that appeared for 30 seconds max in the Bumblebee film. The collecting atmosphere has also become toxic with the amount of resellers, eBay scammers, scalpers, and just plain idiots that create an artificial scarcity and drive up prices from already overpriced toys

 

Right. I would go early on Friday\Saturday\Sunday to try and find things at Target\Walmart, and arrive to see someone walking out with a big cluster of bags containing 10-20 Transformers\GI Joe figures, and there's absolutely nothing on the shelves. If that's how this "hobby" is going to go, I'm not sure how much I want to continue being a part of it. And there are people on these boards that do this shit too. A lot of times it's an item that just came out, I couldn't get one, and people are in BST selling it for triple retail price. Okay, you bought it so I couldn't get it, just to sell it to me at a massively inflated price? I know there's lots of clever ways they justify it but it's just greed from an actual leech on society and I kind of hope they get crabs.

Yep. We call these people scumbags. I have no problem calling them out in store, in public. These people are vermin

 

Who hunts from stores anymore? I only go when I see rumors of things in stock and actually need something else. Therefore, I'll just be disappointed if it's not there and it won't be completely fruitless because I actually needed toilet paper lol. Maybe 5% of the stuff right now I got from in store. When I found 6 Netflix bumblebees and 3 SS86 Gnaws, I only get one and left the rest. Can't speak for other collectors. As for cost, it can be somewhat mitigated by not preordering 1st day and waiting for sales or amazon warehouse deals. Excluding exclusives. Also taking advantage of cash back sites and rauketn.com and credit cards help too.

Yeah Legacy is iffy. I'll only be picking up the figures I like. Chin up bruh. The world ain't ending anytime soon.

 

Not at all. It's also just that I have a lot of these now and limited display space so I'll definitely be picky about which ones I get from Legacy onward. Starting to question whether I need Black Zarak or not; the titans are really big.

 

A lot of people, actually. Not only does Walmart usually get waves in before Pulse does but the price on TFs still hasn't been brought up to the new rates (unlike Black Series or Lightning Collection) so it's actually better to hunt in person, at least for the moment.

 

The extra $1-3 I pay per figure by preordering from Pulse is offset by the excessive time and gas money I used to waste hunting retail. I'm happy for those that live near Targets/Walmarts that actually regularly stock new product, but that isn't the case for any of the ones near me.

 

I'm always glad for delays since my wallet has been taking a constant hammering and can use the relief.  

 

I might have been interested, but as an 80's kid that grew up with GB, Star Wars and GI Joe, that has interest in all three, I really can't imagine what possessed Hasbro to have 3 projects up at the same time going into the holidays. $350 buys a METRIC TON of stuff in Black Friday and Christmas sales.
