Edit: OH and 5 minutes ago they sent the charge down for my Skywarp + Sideswipe 2-pack... Yowsa!

I cancelled my Pulse preorder since Amazon already charged me for their stock of the set, thinking it'd get sent sooner. I think I have been hoisted by my own petard here.

 

I see my Sideswipe/ Skywarp charge from Pulse pending as of this morning. Hope to see a shipping notice soon!

Just got notice that Sideswipe and Skywarp are on the way from Pulse. I admit I was getting antsy this weekend seeing other people get theirs from Amazon but I super excited not to have to wait until November for this set. I am curious about how everyone feels about figures getting shipped out this much earlier than expected. For me in this case it's great but I know for people trying to plan and budget, getting a charge for something a month or two earlier than expected can really throw things off. Do you think Pulse, Amazon and others should send a message asking, hey this item you pre-ordered is available sooner, do you want to get it now, instead of just automatically shipping? I get why they don't ask because warehouse space isn't free. Plus if something happens to the figure during that time and the retailer ends up not being able to fulfill the pre-order, people are going to be even more upset. You could argue that waiting until something is in stock to buy it eliminates any pre-order hassles, but these days pre-ordering is sometimes your only shot at getting a figure without paying the scalper tax.

 

For me personally, stuff coming in this early is a minor annoyance, but it's only minor because I use Chosen Prime for my mainline preorders so that I can pay them in advance. For example, my Ark also came in today, so if I had to pay for both that and the 2 pack today it would have royally sucked, but I had the Ark at Chosen Prime and that preorder had already been paid off. I pretty much just use Pulse for exclusives these days for that reason.

Also, Pulse did give a heads up last week that both the 2 pack and Tricranius would be arriving in stock in a few days, so them charging today wasn't completely out of the blue.

 

Just got the Ark today and Sideswipe/Mirage just shipped out. And My Rhinox, two Gnaws, Transmutate, Ramjet plus three Gundams are coming from BbTS.

 

I just got an email that sideswipe and skywarp just shipped!

 

The sooner the better for me. Anytime between the minute I order and the posted release date works for me. I don’t place orders in the first place if it's going to overextend me financially.

 

I'll take Pulse shipping these partner exclusives early over Amazon, etc. just randomly cancelling or overselling their preorders. I'm usually even fine with delays as long as I get it eventually, a delay just means I've got more time to sell something and set the money aside for stuff I've ordered so it doesn't have to come out of my regular income.

I'm expecting Tricranius (and Retro Ninjor if you're in the Power Rangers camp) to charge sometime tonight since his preoder page now lists 9/14 as well.

 

Don't forget them slapping the shipping label on the actual box of the figure   which is why i prefer to give my money to pulse as well.

 

I was lucky enough to get it from Amazon first. Amazon may have changed. I received my Sideswipe and Skywarp in a box within a box. So that's a good sign. I prefer Amazon because of the 5% cash back Chase Amazon card. But I place preorders at both places for backup and cancel the slowest shipper.

 

I was pleasantly surprised mine too came in a box and was still in the factory shipper box inside the box as well. Much better than last year where they just slapped a shipping label on Prowl and Ironhides box.
