Looks close to Tarsem Singh's IMMORTALS, only with Arthurian myth. It does look curious enough though.
Looks good. Can't wait. I hope one day we can get another King Arthur movie on the same level as Excalibur.
Medieval psychological thriller? Sounds like a great premise. Also of course it's from A24, the cinematography is very art-house looking.
Looks bloody incredible. So glad we have at least one studio doing really creative things. A24 really has put out some interesting art over the years. Also Green Knight has always been one of my favorite Arthurian legends
Can’t say something about everything they’ve produced, but Ex Machina was really well done and I absolutely loved the Lighthouse (though I know a number of squeamish people who were decidedly freaked out by it). They definitely have stuff worth checking out.
Oh, I've actually seen Ex Machina. Didn't see that on their list of films when I checked. Definitely enjoyed that one.
For sure. I wonder if doing a bunch of myths like this and building up to the Lancelot and mordred stories would be effective. There’s a lot of rich mythology that would be worth exploring.
Anyone else going to see it this weekend? Bought tickets last night and I’m psyched. I know there’s some reviews out there, but Im refusing to look and I’m going in blind. I don’t want to know if this has had any positive or negative response whatsoever.
It's really less about King Arthur and more about Sir Gawain. Tolkien has had a hand in keeping the legend alive for modern generations so I'm really rooting for this movie to be awesome.
This movie looks really moody and interesting based on the trailer. I'll check it out once it comes to Prime/Netflix/etc.
