Hey everyone,

For those of you who already know what The Great Cybertronian Write Off is, we have decided to focus all of the posts into one thread to make them easier to find, and to make it easier to catch up, especially if some of you don't wish to follow the #GCWO hashtag on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. For those who don't know what it is, please read on!



Myself, @tikgnat, @Sixo and @incapable hulk decided to start creating daily G1 Transformers photographic and written content in the style of vintage UK and Euro paperwork, to give people just something very small to look forward to daily during this period of globally enforced home stay, the way a lot of our favourite content creators or artists have been doing.

I approached @tikgnat with the design ideas and he executed them beautifully, incorporating visual elements from the 1985 and 1986 UK pack-in toy catalogues, 1986 UK Special Teams and European store giveaway catalogues as well as the old European Panini G1 sticker book too! After the template for these poster-style entries was completed, we took them to @Sixo and @incapable hulk and they were more than happy to contribute! We made a list of what each of us owns, and then divvied up the creative and posting responsibilities. While the template for the entries remains uniform, each photographer and writer would bring their own style to their entries, even the photo captions.

We have been posting one entry daily across social media since March 31, and even across threads on TFW2005, and so this first post will contain all of week 1's posts, and then as we add more to the thread, this first post will be updated! You can also find links to our blogs and social media in our respective signatures where we will be making weekly blog posts summarising all of our contributions in a given week.

Plus, TSCHE-CHU-CHU-CHU-TSCHE is now my all-time favourite onomatopoeia!

 

These are professional works of art and archival quality pieces in their own rite. I love what @Maz @tikgnat @incapable hulk and @Sixo have put together here and so generously shared with the rest of us. Thank you so much. I'm saving each and every one of these. And thanks for giving old Ironhide some props so early on in this endeavour. Fantastic work, guys!

Man G1 Ravage looks fun

 

I really do like the mould, it's surprisingly stable! I think my favourite version of the mould is Stripes, with the gold Steeljaw-mould weapons that come with him!

But how good does Ravage look just on his MB card?
