That episode was great. Fort Max makes an appearance in the show and in the home movie clips at the end. I love looking in the back ground of the kids room for stuff from my childhood.
Heh, I noticed a ninja turtles box with Donatello written on it, and couldn't help but think there was no turtles in 86.
The series has skipped around the whole decade but other "era" shows have been known to do the same. They have done some awesome 80's stuff but my favorite thing about the series is the flyers love
OH YOU ARE KIDDING ME! The one Wednesday off I trade to work so I can have a free weekend for Comic-Con and THAT'S the subject of the show. Now I feel cheated.
I don't even watch this show at all, came in the room at the end (Mrs was watching it) but I couldn't help but get caught up seeing all the original G1s
I need the clip of Adam in the theater watching the movie to be on youtube or something so I can see it again.
This https://twitter.com/ProtomanX/status/555623367253184512 and this https://twitter.com/ProtomanX/status/555623768409014272 The timeline more or less adds up, the only mistake is the writer of the show based those scenes on his old videos which he filmed in 1987, and thus in the show he saw the 1986 Movie then went home to his Prime and FORT MAX (which is not possible for that time) Otherwise......... what an AMAZING episode. Love this show
Dangit, I watch this show on a regular basis I'm just.....not caught up, and now I know what it's gonna be about,
I was totally geeking out last night watching it. I'm 36 and I remember the feeling watching the movie in the theater. I instantly recorded it and will re-watch it frequently.
Yeah, it's just fun when a show unintentionally dates something to a specific time period like the 86 movie which didn't have a theater long run. Its just something we transformer fans could really narrow down what does and does not belong. Nitpicking can be fun sometimes.
I was giddy all while watching that last night, Transformers was always my first love too. And yes while they definitely jumped dates, that's always been a part of the show since they never say specifically when the narrator says at the beginning it was jan 15 1980something. Great show, it's really grown on me since the end of last years season. And his toy collection is a thing of beauty. There was an interesting link on Dinosaur Dracula where he explained how he got most of his. Series creator’s response to my article about “Adam Goldberg’s Bedroom.” – Dinosaur Dracula
Love this series...and was thrilled to see this ep with his first love Transformers and Pops was awesome as Optimus....., but the thread needs to be merged with the Goldberg discussion thread in Movies and TV forum. Continue to post there... Thanks!! mpl
I loved this episode. It's probably my wife and I's favorite show. She kept looking at me during the Optimus episode to see how I'd react. Great stuff. I always have to rewind and take stock of all the nostalgia in Adam's room. And yes, I owned and wore at least 2 of Barry's shirts.
This is my new favorite episode of the show. Adam Goldberg being a TF fan is all sorts of win. also Popstimus Prime was hilarious. The Barry subplot was good too but not as good as the Transformers plot.
