I thought next week was the wrestling one? That's what my guide says. It's supposed to be a tribute to the Ultimate Warrior.
Turns out it was a combination of the two. An epic episode to have Star Wars and WWF wrestling in the same show. I didn't know anything about the Ultimate Warrior tribute at the end so that was very cool. The Yoda guy and the guy on the Tauntaun were great. I usually don't buy complete season DVD sets, but when this one comes out I'll definitely be picking it up.
I missed the episode, but my buddy Obi-Shawn was probably the "Yoda guy" you mentioned. He was shown in the insert of TV Guide: I'm assuming this is him?
This was the first episode I watched since the pilot, and I liked it. I might have to go back and check out the rest, at some point. They are playing it pretty loose with the timeline, though, right? I thought it was funny that this last episode was about the Return of the Jedi premier (1983), and then later, in the same episode, there's a Ghostbusters (1984) poster on the wall.
Yeah, the timeline is very loose so each episode is basically a one-shot episode. They're jumping all over the place in the 80's. Every episode starts off with him saying "It was 1980something...."
Not true, the first episode had him saying "It was 1985." (the one where Barry learns how to drive.) jD001
Yes, he does... the best thing in the episode for me. Otherwise, it was a bit of a letdown for me, was more about wrestling than SW, but I did love it when sis finally saved the day (and movie) for him.
So happy to have this show back for season two. It's easily my favorite comedy right now. Judging by it's very good ratings for the season premiere, the new time spot right before Modern Family is only going to help.
Man, you know he's still in therapy to this day... Poor kid, can't believe that his mom would believe that tape was for her. She wants to keep her baby for sure...... she's trying too hard, run child, run!! Pretty nice move with the dad, but won't those guys still want to beat him up... the money is gone!! I like this time slot so far....tho not sure MF is helping them that much... I'm sick of Modern Family, they're same 'ol, same 'ol anymore.
Oh yeah I'm glad that the Goldbergs is back. I love watching ABC on Wednesday night so I'm glad they made the move. I like that Barry Spoiler got to be the hero. also David Spade was surprisingly funny.
The Goldbergs definitely does good by the 80's. Much like, uh...what was that 70's show called again?
