I've been enjoying this series as it gives me a sense of nostalgia and all but the season finale is quite lame. But who else thought it was funny when Adam went to see Howard The Duck when he was 11 with his dad and grandpa? Adam the real one actually did saw that in theaters because of the name George Lucas.
My DVR recorded it but I'm also about 9 episodes i haven't watched and that episode included being the last. I missed several episodes since my dvr hadn't recorded a few episodes.
Me too, i saw it in theaters when i lived in Phoenix a year before moving to Boulder City when i was 4 and i thought she looked hot in that movie and Back to the Future.
Yeah i did and loved it that i watched it twice. I am hoping we see some good stuff this season. I really haven't been into Schooled that much at all.
It was alright. I do think they're losing a bit of the shine and have been for a couple seasons. Schooled is still sort of funny, but they're walking a tightrope with setup right now. That new teacher adds a bit of needed gravitas and seriousness in between the silly, goofy beats, but I could find her annoying really fast if they aren't careful. I still think between the two shows Schooled had the better premiere. As someone who watched Vacation a million times growing up, there were a couple good laughs in the Goldberg's for me, but I expected more.
Schooled was better as there is more opportunity for growth. Unfortunately The Goldbergs continue to have the same episode story arch every week. I did laugh at Pops though.
I stopped watching regularly around season 4. Far too repetitive and it wasn't that funny after a while. It definitely peaked at the Transformers episode from season 2. Schooled has actually been pretty good from what I've seen.
I find the parents and Barry to be unlikable. Along with that Rush fan (YOU DON'T DESERVE TO WEAR THAT T-SHIRT) and his annoying girlfriend. UGH I want to plant my foot right in the middle of her face. Major nostalgia. Remember video rentals? Who here ever paid the late fees? I know I did on a number of times. Adam's female friend reminds me of my friendship with my late female friend. I knew her from kindergarten in northern Oklahoma City and after passing the 1st grade, we moved to South Oklahoma City and found a new school and guess who also moved to the South? You guessed it: Frank Stallone. Kidding, it was her. I was never romantic with her. We were just friends. That episode of when Barry thought he was lucky and ahem "Beat" The Legend of Zelda, I laughed at the end when Barry got Adam Zelda 2. Get ready for disappointment!
Yeah, season's off to a rough start. Last season had some moments, but was mostly just a rehashed script for every episode. They've all stuck on this perpetual loop where mom manipulates the shit out of everybody, gets hurt when people don't love her for it, then everybody comes together at the end and it's all happy/happy. Here or there they throw in one of the other ones in the mom position, but it's mostly Bev. How many times do they all need to learn the same lesson? Schooled was WAAAAAY better last season than Goldbergs, even though I'm much more an eighties guy than a nineties guy. I'm mostly just watching Goldbergs out of habit at this point, and to see if they ever get past this merry-go-round of repitition. I did enjoy the episode (last season or the season before?) where they Raiders of the Lost Ark'ed looking for the perfect philly. "You. . . chose. . . poorly."
