I have several reissues of Soundwave, but not an original. That's high on my list of wants down the road.

A few recent acquisitions...I already had the pics. I want to do some specific ones just for this thread though.

Nice mm stuff! Could anyone point me in the right direction to find out how all the mm bases link together? Can't some of the bases be attached to one of the big bases/big bots somehow?

Happy for you man :)  Congratz! He looks great :D

Those are some great additions, all 3 are really cool. Thundercracker is awesome. How are you doing on those Euro AMs? I really love those guys.

I remember I had quite a hard time finding a complete Tanker Transport. All 3 Transports look really good displayed together, can't wait to have them permanently up.

Nice pics man :)  Did you move on that lightbox we were talking about?

Wow, congrats! I'll be hunting for an MIB pre-rub Soundwave once I complete the Hasbro Mini-bots. :)

$80 for a MIB Soundwave is crazy good. Mine was $220.

My latest scores were a pre-rub Starscream with box for $175 and today I nabbed a super sweet pre-rub Optimus with box for $405 that has the grey Roller, bloated gun and the first run box with the radar dish visible under Prime's foot and the lack of white borders around the three pictures. I've really wanted one and while $405 ain't cheap I've seen it go for a lot more. I'll post some updated pics after I get them. I'll have Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream and Optimus with boxes which is what I was shooting for. I've got all of the '84 pre-rub minibots including Bumblejumper. I think I'll keep going with the '84 line of pre-rubs. I still need Thundercracker, Skywarp, the other four cassettes and all of the Autobot cars. I should probably wait before I spend more money though. lol.

I was watching that auction, hoping to make a steal. Didn't happen, but congrats on your purchase!

I picked up more G1 than I expected at Botcon, including Repugnus and Doublecross to complete my Autobot Monsters.
I also grabbed Spinister and Quickmix to complete my mini-target masters. Fangry, Squeezeplay and Hosehead to complete my mini-headmasters. Wingspan to complete my clones.

In fact I only need 7 figures to complete my 1987 and 1988 collections (not including Pretenders, which I am loathe to go completest with). I've also taken my first serious step into the world of Action Masters.

    Checkout my Botcon Haul!

Weren't we JUST talking about Repugnus? I see him in the lower left corner.

Wait, do I see TWO Spinisters?

Are G1 prices (relatively) cheaper at Botcon?

Yeah, two Spinisters. I feel he will creep up in value now he has finally had a do-over, but my mate has already claimed my second.

Not really, but if you hunt around, haggle and wave cash at people it's not too bad. I did some good swaps with the Botcon toys I had no interest in, I'm much happier not attempting to be a completest anymore (he says closing in on a complete 84-89 run).

BotCon was a great year for dealer room snags for me! I got a ton of G1 figures that I'll be photographing for my blog soon!

From what I heard, no. Some combiners were going for ~$150 and they were ~$80-100 on ebay. Condition and boxes matter too though, if they're loose/incomplete then of course they'll be cheaper, but boxed stuff will get price jacked.

Thanks, I've scaled back on the Euro stuff because Japanese stuff has taken its place :)  I'm inadvertently doing both at once. And yes I did get that new lightbox, my post yesterday was the first one using it. Works really well and I have a lot more space now, thanks.

Not at all. There are deals here and there, especially if you're into loose stuff. But in general, everything is more expensive or right about at the going rate, not less.

Prices were all over the place.

Action Master Jazz complete - paid $10 saw it for sale at $45
BBTS Seacon Set sealed saw it for $40 (Megatoyfan), heard one sold for $125, another guy had it for $165.

I didn't buy anything unless I knew it was a real bargain, people need to research what they're buying a little better...or at least do a lap of the hall first.

I always price check first. One year I got a complete G1 Starscream just by buying parts at different tables I think I spent about $30 total on him, where most booths were charging $50+ for a complete one.
