Cheers Maz. This one must have been in a warehouse since it came out then, because it was utterly pristine when it arrived with me. As I said, i picked it up years ago now, and as far as I remember for very little.

I suppose they were made in large quantites as they were popular, so there would have naturally been overstocks and some would have remained stored and "as new" for a couple of decades. I know some Diaclones (and variants) fetch small fortunes now, but I guess toys like these were quite run of the mill.

Your chromed second edition one, I imagine, is not run of the mill ;)

There do seem to be quite a few unused sets of Trainrobo #1 to #6 around and have been for some years. While I wouldn't call it rare as such, they are not run of the mill either. Always desirable and never cheap, a lovely set of toys for sure. I've never had the standard colour set.

The recolour set including the Chrome bullet are indeed quite tough, especially if you assemble the set individually as I did over a year or two. That's why my set is incomplete. I have seen whole sets of #7 to #12 offered unused but always so expensive.

Here's Trainrobo #9, "Dr Yellow", a tribute to Japanese Shinkansen test trains which often have this colour scheme. This toy's original colour (white & green) went on to become the Transformers "Yukikaze" Trainbot.

    Wow!
I absolutely love that box art with the train track setup like a model train display and a big monster robot coming out of the trees.
    Too cool.

The green train is Green Raker who, with Blue Raker, combine into Ultra Raker from the Brave Exkizer series.

You're not asking, but I'll say it anyway. This one's called Red Geist, and he's from the Brave Series, Da Garn.

Great haul, by the way. Does Go Shoota come with the headmaster and accessories?

Wow, I had that as a kid and treated him as an imaginary, distant cousin of Megatron.

Don't think he made his way as a Transformer...nice find. And thanks for the pics. Cool to see that Browning again.

There was a mini version of that Browning put out by one of the copycat companies in the 80s. I kick myself for not buying a MIB browning in 2000 for 20 bucks.

Yup, the mini "Coltrobo" was released by Converters in America. The full-size
    KO was by Kingdam.

$20 for a legit Browning would be quite the score. I remember passing on tons of deals like that year's ago, if we only had the foresight...

If the Browning has a slightly gold tint and blue innards, it's a Micro Change Series release. If it's a very shiny silver with no hint of a gold tint, it;s the Masterforce version. That's my understanding of it, I'm still waiting for my first blue Browning toy to come in a trade soon, I've only ever had 3 red ones.

Carrying on the trainrobo theme, here is Trainrobo #8, the repaint of he who would become "Getsuei" in Headmasters. This gorgeous maroon colour is common in the second colour Diaclone Trainrobo set.

Maz, I like your chrome Trainrobo 7. I'm always a sucker for chrome.

Chris, I also like your custom Bluestreak. It's nice to see him look the way he is supposed to look.

Maz, these combine right? I swear I had one or two of these trainrobos at one time, when I bought them in Japan.

Brought them back home to the US, and my friends were puzzled at the non-US canon toys. But they thought they were cool!

Cheers mate, no head unfortunatley, so ive got a siren head on the way so it should match pretty well.

Not sure if this browning has a gold ting to it as its chrome is a bit worn. Seeing as i only collect g1 tf's im going to assume its the masterforce one to fit with the rest of my collection ;)
