    This X 10000

    BTW, more amazing stuff Maz.
I would love to see a gallery of all the Trainbots. It's hard to find good quality pics of them anywhere.

Well that's just the thing, isn't it...

Exactly why I started buying them years ago, I have so many pictures (all of which apart from TR10 posted before look dated and need updating) but I was never able to track down the recoloured maroon chest piece so I never published an article about it. And now that they might get sold, well, screw the whole thing I guess.

I can post some pics at least. Here's Trainrobo #11

So I figure I would ask here again, since the last time I brought up a future purchase I wanted to make, I ended up saving myself hundreds of dollars.

So there has been rumors forever about a Scorponok Reissue. So for any "insiders", is there any merit to these rumors? I am thinking in the short term future (6 months - 1 year).

If not, what is a good price for a complete Scorponok?

    Thanks,

I think it'd be a good choice as the mold can be reused as black zarak and he is Fort Max's nemesis. However when was the mold last used? Does it even exist anymore? Might need a die altogether where as the other rumored reissue I hear is Trypticon who's die was used in 1998 and more likely to still be around.

    Just a guess anyway.

Been half expecting TFC or Maketoys to have a go at an updated Raiden, but perhaps it's little too niche? But I've wondered if either would go down that route

I've got one of the Diaclone Trainrobo's MIB (can't remember which one of the top of my head, but it's a blue/cream bullet train) - I picked it up cheap some years ago off ebay, more on a whim than anything. Sometimes think about passing it on, sometimes about getting the others. Dunno if it's legit or not - I mean, I assume it is, but I've got no idea. It's in a box in the cupboard somewhere..

Sounds like Trainrobo #1, the Shinkansen. Check for die cast wheels and a Takara Japan copyright on the base. If it's the Transformers version "Shoukhi" then it'll have a rubsign. Not sure if the later re-release as part of Zone still has rubsign, probably not.

Here's Trainrobo #7, the glorious chromed version of the Trainrobo #1 that would become "Shouki":

These guys seem to look better in individual bot mode than in combiner mode, which you don't see often in G1.

Just thought I'd check-in with my latest acquisition; a custom Diaclone blue Bluestreak by Rotorstorm! I've slowed down on G1 because I changed my collection focus again. Quality over quantity, I'm going to buy the MIB G1 version of every MP release going forward. I really like the way clintfca displays his MP's and I stole this idea from him!

Well, without further adieu, here is Bluestreak! Thank you Rotorstorm!

Bluestreak is actually my second Rotorstorm custom; I sold all my classics but couldn't part with a few figures. Lugnut was one of them :)

And off subject.... Why does Encore Hook have black and purple windows? I think the original only had purple. (I could be wrong.)

... so, here he is. I'll be winning no photography awards with this phone.

What's in the box... well, an instruction sheet, and a bag with sticker sheet, length of track & some kind of chest or waist plate for the combiner.

    Reverse of the instruction sheet:

    "© Takara Japan 1980 - 1982" & the die-cast wheels.

And here is the little guy. Everything was incredibly tight, I don't think it's ever been out the box.

He does indeed seem to have a Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen head, which is kind of odd.

So, clearly Diaclone not G1 (so that's a strike against already, really shouldn't be in this thread :)  ) If it's original or KO, I have no idea - but everything feels like it's totally brand new.

Definitely original Takara Diaclone Trainrobo #1. The chrome one I posted is the repainted second release of your item. I was also led to believe that Diaclone toys were welcome in this thread :)
