The Victory Sabre Giftset is an amazing piece!
Big Powered Set (individually or as a set)
Buster/Hydra (sorry I forgot if you have either of these two already)
All of them look nice, and I'm less confident of the possibility of a reissue for any of those than I am, say, Metrotitan/Grand Max/Battle Gaia.
hahaha, dude. You should buy what you want, not what other people think you should buy Your grail pieces can't be suggested by others, it's what you in your heart want.
With that said, I've always been more fond of the early year stuff. So I'd suggest Goodbye Convoy or Goodbye Megatron, which are special releases of early G1 pieces.
Yes Grail pieces should be something that you want personally.
I have a few I might want to pick up. Since my favorits are G1 Bruticus and the combatacons I would love to one day get the individually boxed Jap releses, the Jap giftset and the Gig one.
You sure you wanna venture into the Jap stuffs?
WSX, why not just continue going after Guard City, Dinoking, and/or Black Zarak since you are clearly interested in these figures.
I myself would like to complete the entire Masterforce cast; those galleries at Seibertron look mighty impressive.
Wow! Congratulations dude! I knew it would happen eventually! Something tells me you'll find something else vintage to collect in time
Does anyone know a place which does G1 repro parts (weapons, etc.), after Darkov & Bellyboy retired?
@ALL: Thanks for the valuable inputs, guys! Really feel that I've been given some tough but hopefully do-able choices! Some of them are not important enough as of yet, such as Metalhawk, but maybe the Goodbye Convoy/Megatron giftsets might be something to ponder about in the near future, who knows?
Hmm, from your list, I already have Deathzarus/ Deathsaurus,
As for Road Fire and Sonic Bomber from Big Powered, I am only missing Dai Atlas to complete the trio...
Minerva is way difficult to find and uber rare, not to mention (obviously) that she doesn't come cheap..
Buster and Hydra are also in contention, but I am not willing to pay insane ebay prices upwards of $800 for the pair... there were some giftsets recently that were going for $500, but one of those came with a broken combiner tab for Buster to form the Darkwings. so yeah...
and I agree on the possibility of both Guard City/ Metrotitan to be reissued, seeing as Takaratomy might have the Protectobots moulds on stand by, and more likely since Encore Metroplex was released a couple of years ago.
I'd be lucky if I can even complete the Victory cast, let alone the Masterforce ones...
Huh, happy meal transformers? (I've only heard of the foodformers)
I almost feel like we need a Generation 1 thread for US releases, a second one for Japan and a third one for the rest of the world. There is too much G1 goodness for just one thread.
As far as I am known they are the same as their US versions. I think the more Jap hardcore collectors like H_D and Automorph can share light on this.
Thanks guys I'm sure I will get the itch to buy more vintage, but I will do all I can not to. I really want to turn the page on this and re-evaluate what I put those funds on.
Yep, they were a test run promotion in St-Louis in 1985:

Stopped at a church rummage sale today and actually found a G1 Optimus Prime for only $1.00.It's just the cab,but it has nice tight joints, good paint job,and minor chrome wear. Not too shabby for a buck. He'll look nice sitting on my shelf in truck mode.
Japanese Onslaught also has a launching mechanism that Western version did not, I only assume that Hot Spot is the same deal.
