Probably my favourite G1.5/G2 toy. He's big, quite heavy, had an interesting transformation, good colours, fairly good articulation, and a nice gimmick. Unfortunately mine is missing his missiles.

Hi there, does anyone have a link to a guide or video showing how to dismantle a G! Jazz? Cheers

Word of warning for those of us who own a Mexican release Optimus Prime: One of the trailer door hinges on mine just spontaneously disintegrated on one of those swirly looking points in the plastic:( . The break looks like typical GPS behaviour: no stress marks, completely clean break.

Damn, that’s a clean Jazz! Looks very nice. Is it a reissue? The face looks a little different than mine.

Agreed! It's probably the TFC version. As for a video, hopefully you can find one! I had to take a bunch of photos disassembling my aerialbots to make sure I reassembled everything correctly.

A few photos! I didn't drag Superion out because I need to reprolabel him up first!

Yes it's the Commemorative Series III G1 Jazz. I want to dismantle it to paroxide a few slightly yellow parts and look at replacing the head.

It's a shame... It seems like every version of Jazz (original, G2, more recent reissues) all have some degree of yellowing at this point on the doors and the tail fins. I wonder why that is?

I've thought about trying to take apart mine and using peroxide, but have never found the time to do it.

I recommend the encore Jazz. Mine has no yellowing, and also has a fixed face so no mould-degradation-smirk. He does have a blue visor, though.

I should replace my Spinister. His shoulders are super loose and the screws appear to be pretty badly stripped so I can't even fix it. Although there's always the floss fix...

Anyways, just got Squeezeplay. Pictured here with his fellow '88 Decepticon Headmaster, Fangry.

I'm interested in learning about the floss fix.

It's pretty simple; you just wrap tooth floss between the arm and the shoulder.

I did a similar thing for Overlord's jet stabilizers so they'll stay upright.

IMG_6291.jpeg IMG_6292.jpeg Slowly picking up more G1 guys from 85. I said I wasn’t going to get anyone from 86, but I found Metroplex for $20 so I snagged him. I had him as a kid, and he saw a lot of playtime.

For Red Alert, I think I’m going to do a custom toon version with parts from a G2 Sideswipe. I had one like that years ago, and I liked how it really differentiated him from Sideswipe. I will of course, buy Skids, but he’s not high on my list. Same with Twin Twist. Getting there though.

Edit: My Omega Supreme is missing the barrel in the back of his head. Anyone have a spare laying around from a junker? I just need that tank barrel and he’ll be complete.

    Very spicy!
Man, I really should grab more minibots. All I've got is the Encore set of the '86 ones.

I still haven't got Smokescreen or Bluestreak either.

The Smokescreen is a reissue and it’s in great shape. Some figures I wanted original vintage copies and some I was content to just grab a reissue. Mostly the 85 characters I’m fine with getting an official reissue version. Inferno and Grapple have blue eyes which I think is kind of cool. I will say, it’s tough to find vintage copies of the Datsuns with all parts intact. Those windows are just so brittle and prone to breaking. Good luck in your search!
