WD-40 probably isn't good for a lot of materials on TFs, you should use a silicone based lubricant. I currently have a can of B'laster, but it comes out as a foam so it's a bit messy:

Yeah, I can picture Star Saber, Deathsaurus and Liokaiser selling pretty well at this point.

Maybe not in the stores like Walmart and Target, but in online stores.

My buying slowed WAY down for a few years now, but I think I would click super fast to purchase any of those reissues.

I really love all these small Target Masters. I have these 3 Autobots, and also Spinister. Eventually I really want those other two Decepticons.

Amid the hype of Haslab Victory Saber, I got a G1 Star Saber and Victory Leo. I cleaned them up, Star Saber was quite yellowed so I whitened him. Cleaned up the old stickers and added repro labels. Only thing I'm missing is Saber's original sword and gun (I got a repro sword for now). Quite happy with them, dare I say I might like these more than the haslab version? Possibly.

Roadblock. One of my all time favs. Has miraculously not crumbled (yet). I take him out and play with him from time to time to keep the joints loose. I would love a modern take, even if just an homage to one of the components. 20211028_232444.jpg 20211028_232129.jpg 20211028_231401.jpg 20211028_231013.jpg 20211028_230815.jpg 20211028_230722.jpg 20211028_230611.jpg 20211028_225214.jpg

Congratulations! Seems like the visor on yours stays on well.

I'd say the saber jet and robot modes are much better proportioned than the Haslab, though I suppose the main focus of the Haslab is the combined mode.

Jealous! I sold my vintage Victory stuff forever ago and I’m getting the itch to rebuy it.
Awesome set and buy a chrome marker if you want the sword to shine! It’ll look great, see my He-Man axe as an example; the handle is the original color.

Filled a major hole in my collection with Shockwave recently (his electronics are loud!). Here with his best of '85 counterpart.

My only warning is you probably have a year to 18 months after it’s opened before the unused liquid loses its shine. Applied liquid will still look great but the unused stuff will just be a dull grey for whatever reason.

I'm in the United States. Can anyone recommend an online store where I could still buy the Encore Twincast or Encore Soundblaster at a decent price? I missed out on those cassettes, and wish I had them now.

The only options I really see are Robotkingdom or Ebay. I have bought from Robotkingdom before and know they have a good reputation, but the price is pretty high for me after shipping.

Also, can anyone tell me about the KO Shockwave?

I've never owned an original G1 Shockwave, but have transformed a few that other people own, which were pretty used and loose.

Is the KO good enough that I wouldn't really know the difference? Am I missing out on anything major?

Just checked and didn’t see anything; they are older figures so RK, eBay, or the TFW Forums could be your only bet. I’d start a thread in the Wanted section and see if anyone is selling. Frankly, I don’t see any so expect to pay $$$$. Also, not sure if it matters but the book style Soundblaster seems to sell for half the price of the Encore version; could be an option.

Shockwave is one of those older figures with rubber degradation so why not. The KO will have loose legs, color differences, but that hose will be in good shape lol.

Yeah, I just imagine trying to track down an original Shockwave that is near-mint that even has the rubber intact is pretty difficult at this point.

I usually try to get everything original/official when possible... But I've been thinking about trying out the KO Shockwave, Mirage and Reflector eventually.
