I ended up picking up a junker Wreck Gar. You know, the standard missing front wheel, no rubber on back, no weapons..I was getting some other things from the seller and it was €5 so why not?

I found this post on replacement rubber for the tire..
Sure enough, worked like a charm and only €3.
Alternative Replacement Tires for G1 Wreck Gar!

But that elusive front wheel is still missing. However I do have an Elita One from RotF (I guess).
    Same size wheel..
Take it out, Cut a steel peg, fit it in the hole of the wheel...
That should tide me over until I can find the parts
While it is not in keeping with a pure g1 toy, it is in keeping with the junkion character I think

It seems to me that Hasbro/Takara had the scaling set to reverse when comparing these 3.

G1 scale went completely out the window for anything other than the original Diaclone molds.

So I'm sure it's been asked before, but how can one tell whether a G1 toy they have is a fake? Aside from the obvious "TONY" on the box thing. I know so little about G1 toys & have been really curious about them so any & all info would be appreciated.

Any suggestions for individual cases? Nothing fancy, just something to put figure + accessories in. That way I can throw them in a bin without worrying about breaking Mirage in half.

In many ways I have started to prefer this reissue over the original. That silver is much nicer than the white on the original, and likely to age much better.

I hate sharing photos of individual shelves as my room purposely uses low light bulbs and I can't tripod at the level of each shelf, low light and shaky hands don't mix. But this shelf slaps.

Decepticons can be colourful! Hydra and Buster have started to discolour though.

I got G1 Snarl from eBay for $60,including shipping, excluding tax! Seems authentic, unbroken, barely worn, & is only missing 1 sticker & the missiles. Got it to complete a friend's collection of G1 Dinobots & took some pics for a mini-review in the meantime.

Like all the G1 Dinobots, Snarl is timelessly, fantastically, iconically good looking, with gold chrome, robotic stickers & a red die-cast metal pelvis that makes him feel twice as heavy as today's voyager class figures. Simply holding a G1 figure like this is an awesome experience!
IMG_0394.JPG Only oddity on this Stegosaurus is the really short, downward sloping tail.
IMG_0395.JPG The missile launcher pegs into either of the dino rear hips. The sword, rifle, & 2 extra missiles(that I don't have) have nowhere to go on the Stegosaurus.
    IMG_0397.JPG
Snarl's transformation allows all 4 hips to move on spring-mechanism ratchet joints. The front knees can also bend.
    IMG_0417.JPG
Comparison with Earthrise Optimus & Smokescreen & Studio Series '86 Slug.
    IMG_0398.JPG
Comparison with Kingdom Beast Megatron, Beast Wars reissue Tigatron, "G1 reissue" (Titans Return redeco) Skullcruncher, & Age of Extinction Snarl.
    IMG_0400.JPG
Personally I think Snarl has the best looking G1 Dinobot robot mode, with plated, sloped legs, thick arms, red barrel chest & the chromed tail split in half behind the shoulders!
    IMG_0402.JPG
My only missing sticker is from the right tail half. His chest-mounted Autobot insignia is regularly wider than normal. Better than the one on the dino head, which apparently came whole & must be split in half.
    IMG_0403.JPG
Arms look somewhat weird from side view. Still looks magnificent overall.
IMG_0404.JPG Snarl's sword is soft & rubbery. Apparently different from the OG Diaclone version with hard sword. Chest canopy opens. The gun has holes in the side that seem 4mm. The launcher's now on either shoulder. I was lucky to get a Snarl with great joint & peg/hole tolerances!
IMG_0406.JPG Shoulders rotate more than 180 degrees from bottom to top, & the transformation technically gives him waist swivel & knees. Thats all but still excellent poseability for G1!
    IMG_0410.JPG Robot comparison.
    IMG_0414.JPG
Rarity, fragility, some inconsistant scale &, chiefly, lack of weapon storage is what keeps me from collecting G1 figures. But I always treasure the experience of handling any action figure, especially G1 figures of this caliber. = )
