Whoops, thought I was in a different thread!

This right here is why I’m never getting the leg extensions for Titan Scorponok. He’s already too tall in my eyes!

I've finally completed my Bluestreak display! Well I still need an insert so he can go in his box but that's not my biggest priority.

G1 Optimus Prime will always be my favorite toy. I know it’s dated and not posable at all, but it still resonates with me.

For a transforming toy from 1984 it's pretty good articulation. Arms are fantastic. Legs just need forward motion and you achieve most articulation. Don't compare it to now, compare it to 1984 when most toys had five points of articulation.

Even with the limited articulation the play value in that toy / playset has never been surpassed IMO.

I would never compare it to any other toy because to me it stands on its own. I had so much fun with that toy as a kid and I never lost the fists or any parts. I kept the boxes and foam when I was little because TF’s seemed very delicate and I didn’t want to break them or lose anything. They just felt special, you know? Still do.

Sweet display. Scored a fair deal on the E-hobby G1 reissue earlier this year.
Never planned to dip into Masterpiece but I really dig the MP Bluestreak.

I need to track down a vintage Bluestreak. I bought the eHobby version that’s closer to the cartoon colors and stopped there. I love the color of the Autobot symbol on vintage Bluestreaks. It’s a little more pink or purple or something. Definitely not regular autobot red.

This is my G1 Prowl from my childhood:

    20211011_114807.jpg

A bit of a backstory of this particular one is that the windshield broke early upon me owning it. I was 5 years old at the time, and I LOVED police cars. T.J. Hooker, CHiPs, The Dukes of Hazzard (and granted the police of that show wasn't necessarily "heroic,", but with Enos Strate it wasn't always the main antangonist either) were all shows I watched a ton, and I've always had a very positive view of the police, and I've always thought police cars were cool.

Prowl wasn't necessarily my favorite character, per se, but I did love him and my toy. I played hard with my G1s while taking good care of them, too. Prowl was one of the first toys I ever broke, even, and I was mortified. Dad tried to help me super glue the roof back on, which made a mess, and we set it to dry overnight. The next day, my cousin came over, picked it up, and broke it again. I was mortified all over again, but I just proceeded to play on with the broken figure, later breaking the gun nozzle as well.

Fast forward to even after I was well into collecting. I had built up my customizing skills a good bit, and decided to tackle the repair project again. I successfully repaired it, and then relabeled the figure with Reprolabels. I bought a replacement rifle (which has quite a bit of chrome wear), too. After a move, the windshield broke again, and I've since repaired the windshield again. At this point, the head is also glued in place (not intentionally), and I've yet to have issues since.

This figure (like many others in my collection) have this kind of history, and I love this aspect of my collection. This is one reason, among many, why I love my G1 collection.

    Love it!

Santa Claus gave me a Prowl that I opened up on Christmas morning 1984. Like yours, the windshield on my Prowl broke. I was playing with my Transformers on the stairs (don't know why) one day when I accidentally bumped into Prowl and knocked him down the stairs. The windshield broke off as soon as it hit the tile in the front hallway. I was devastated but I vowed to fix him some day. Fast forward to when the G1 re-issues came out - I bought a G1 re-issue Prowl just so that I could take the windshield off of it and fix my vintage Prowl with it. I made good on my vow to Prowl. Here he is today:

This is the Takara 00s reissue that replaced my original 84, which I foolishly got rid off years ago. It was complete and unbroken too; a real gem.

My apologies. Got distracted the past few days by my sister-in-law’s wedding out of town.

But now, the grand finale to A Parade of Predacons: Day 6
