I quite like the mixing of retro and vintage here. Who says you need the original Targetmasters, these look great together?! It's strange how many artificial barriers we create as adult collectors but I never would have thought to mix these two toylines.

 

Thanks! I remember picking them up when they were in the shops because I liked the fact they mini triple changers, but never really got anything else from there line so just ended up joining my g1 micromasters until now. The only issue is I thought I remembered they had 5mm pegs but can only find them on one of them so the other 2 are just balanced there.

Quick lazy HotSwipe custom from a few years ago. G1 and G2 Swipe part swaps (I really like the slightly lighter red colour differences) and a very old repro labels set (which wasnt cut properly so I had to carefully scalpel cut the sheet).

 

I wonder why G1 Galvatron has not been reissued. Sounds like a no brainer to me.

 

It was reissued in 2005 or so, but in a new colouration (light purple). The eHobby variant was, curiously, the original grey colourway.

 

Let's take a moment to appreciate how ripped G1 Spike is.

Those abs look like they can crunch steel.

 

That purple version of the G1 mold is one of my favorite reissues ever released. I have a vintage G1 Galvatron and I still appreciate the purple reissue version more.
