^ Man do I love every single one of those figures. Autobot tapes were some of my favorites as a kid (I think I had doubles of Slamdance) and I adore the PE updates.

No doubt. Every time I look around for a deal on Overlord it becomes an instantly failed event. His price keeps climbing and you just don't see a lot of them for sale.

    ^^

Not just Overlord. I HAD plans to repurchase my Victory Transformers sometime this year but I guess I'll have to do without them for sometime. I sold them a few years back when my car was stolen; needed a car a lot more than toys.

Anyhow, Deszaras was my FAVORITE Victory figure and now it's going for
700+ What the hell! I could do 400-500 but 700+ I don't think it is worth it in my opinion.

Compared to other Victory figures $700 is tame...

Yeah, but I expect that from Dinoking and Lio Kaiser. Not Deszaras :(

Maybe I'll just settle for Star Saber. He is still pretty cheap.

I've never rated Dinoking. I would never pay over 1k, let alone 2k that i've seen him go at sometimes. Liokaiser is definitely worth the money though. I've been eyeing another Star Saber myself, he is far better than Dinoking to me.

That isn't too bad when you compare him to his fellow cast members lol

Agreed! Still, I'd love a Dinoking... I'll post pics of my old Victory stuff later. I miss them :(

Did I hear someone mention Dezeras?

Hey, I gotta take the opportunity to show off something of my pathetically small Japanese collection when compared to some of the other people on here. Please forgive the distant pic but most of my collection is at my parents' house and I can't run over there every time I wait to take a new pic. Oh, and I forgot to take Chii down before taking it.

It just sucks, the prices of Japanese Transformers never really bugged me in college because I'd buy them with my scholarship money lol! It was free money to me so I figured, Why not? Plus, the ex and I took all our classes together, so we only brought one book. :lol

I have many fond memories of G1.

But my fondest memories of the toys in G1 were my first Transformer, Optimue Prime, given as a christmas present from my mother and my grandmother. The next memory was coming home from school one friday and my father bought me Jazz. And probably another one of my fondest memories was my father returning home from visiting family in New York, and he found two Transformers that no matter where we looked in California, could not find. He came home with Scorponok and Trypticon, brand new in box. OMG, probably one of the *cough*few*cough* times in my life I squealed like a little girl.

    Very nice photos Chris!

I did remember you selling your Victory stuff, Liokaiser in particular. Really sad that they are gone. It's getting more and more expensive to put together a G1 collection now with lots of figures breaching the $1K mark.

If I don't already have a near complete USA and Jap G1 collection, I don't think I'd even start now. I might as well use the money to buy a property (or pay its downpayment at least).

Haha, nice memories man. I always got mine for birthdays or for doing chores or getting good grades (didn't get too many that last way :)  ) All the others I got through trading with friends. A lot of the bots I got from friends were incomplete or in poor condition. But I didn't care I had em'. The biggest Transformers I had as a kid were Metroplex and Trypticon. Metorplex for christmas 1987 and Trypticon was picked up a store called Scratch n Dent Toys for a whopping $5.00 was missing some ramps and connectors but had full tilt's gun (long gone now though :(  )

Yeah, I 100% agree. It's really hard to pull the trigger on four figure toys at this stage in my life; at the very least, I'll pick up Star Saber since he is cheap enough. Besides, I'd rather put that money into my Nissan 370z pot. I'm going to pull the trigger on that car next year.

Outside of him, I really don't know.

Liokaiser CAN be pretty scary, especially if you're looking to get Unused specimens...

The Giftset is a killer. I remembered seeing one sold for USD $2,000 over!

Looking at the seemingly   pricing for those Jap TFs these days makes me glad that I'm not the usual G1 guy like I was back a decade ago. And I strongly agree with both h_d & chrisr291 that there are many things in Life that holds a stronger priority over plastic/Diecast toys. :lol

Given the country which I'm hailing from, (and with the property market in full bloom) I'll have a better time flipping properties instead. :)
