I like the majority of the G1 cars. They all look fantastic to me. However, some of them I am far more willing to get reissues of than others. Like the ones with a lot of fragile parts. And, then there are some, I just want the original for. Like Hound, and Sunstreaker. Those two could get reissued a 1000 times, and I'd still prefer to just own the originals. Now, if they want to reissue them in new colors, that's another story.

Yeah, I'd be hesitant to get a vintage Prowl because of the windshield.

I've needed one for 30 years. Still looking for one that isn't insanely overpriced. One of these days I'll just have to bite the bullet, I guess.

Yea, that and the Jazz mold. Both figures, I'd rather just buy the reissue because of the windshields. I know Hound is probably fragile in some places too, but they look to be easily avoidable areas, like the mirrors and what not. My Jazz is actually the G2 version, which was way cheaper when I bought it back in the early 2000's. A quick look, it seems like G2 Jazz isn't nearly as expensive, and is easy to find without a broken windshield.

I'm more for the ones I can actually handle and transform, than the ones based on value and condition, anyways.

That is gorgeous. I'd love to do a display like that, but done up like the original 1984 product catalog:

The sad part is between all the reissues we've gotten over the years between Hasbro and Takara and the originals I have, I think I have enough figures to do it :redface2:

Me too, but with Blue Bluestreak. Takara should get right on that, and re-release him.

Thank you, you don't know how often growing up I wished I were an only child ! Poor Scourge yes, he joined cartoon Blurr, Wreck Gar and Gnaw on the annoying or unappealing list that ended up going to me. I thought I did well to get Red Alert, but turns out in the cartoon he is annoying too.

I guess that fuelled my fondness for Prowl and Slag to this day, as of all the toys I owned that were in the cartoon I thought they had the cool factor despite being very different characters.

Not sad at all, would like to see how it turns out. Could be a game to spot which are reissues/originals.

Same. I like being able to transform my figures without worrying about messing up something in good condition. I need to start checking eBay again for loose figures and lots.

I like being able to transform mine, plus I have two little nephews who like seeing my collection. I would like to be able to hand some of them over to them, to handle. Which is generally why I don't buy anything overly expensive. In some cases, like Fortress Maximus, I think I'd rather buy the reissue, than the original. Because when they come by, they're going to notice that thing right away. I just haven't gotten around to picking on up yet, lol Or, perhaps I'm waiting to see if they reissue Brave or Grand Maximus, which I would prefer to own. (Only have the space for ONE gigantic transformer.)

Thanks for the kind words! I have toyed with the idea but I don't like the idea to own that many duplicates... And honest most of those are already reissues!
