    Stumpy and weird :p

Such a shame the combiner parts weren't included with the European release.

Your G1 Optimus looks like the same as my one! The very first G1 reissues, made in China, released in the early 90s.

Paler (perfectly painted) eyes, and indigo-blue

(sorry for reposting an old pic!)

    Are our Primes brothers?

You know, as much as I like a minty fresh figure, nothing beats a beat up, sticker torn, worn, G1 Optimus Prime figure. Love it that way.

Yes, and let's face the evil Megatrons together!

    I couldn't agree more.

Paint chipping, paint discoloration, sticker fading and pealing, chrome turned blue, or white, (or whatever color it was originally.) G1's definitely wear the best. They look great mint, but they also look fantastic worn, and played with.

These are the signs of toys that were played with, and well loved. They deserve love and respect, just as much as the ones that are fresh and minty.

Agreed. All of my vintage figures are heavily worn and incomplete.

It’s not much but these are the g1 guys I own. Punch has seen better days. I won those jumpstaters in a “guess how many metroplex kneecaps are in a jar” contest, it was worth it

You know, there's one thing that's always bugged me about Sky Garry; his landing gear. They look so damned familiar to me that I wonder if I might've seen or even owned a KO or something at some point!

It's so weird that it's just the landing gear tho. Maybe there was another toy with similar ones?

Yea, most of mine are that way. They tend to be way cheaper that way, plus I don't feel nervous letting my 9 year old nephew handle them. Since they're easy to find replacement parts for, if they break.

Plus, they just look like the battle hardened warriors they are supposed to represent, that way.

I just bought it off of the CGA Cases website. I'd recommend it if you have a minty box you want to protect!

I actually do, I was just going to display my Optimus boxed in a glass cabinet, but I'm really liking the look of the protective acrylic case, thanks so much for the info!

Yeah they do, I noticed the joint and then got distracted, and when transforming him back to robot for my display...realised I'd mistransformed for the shot. Oh well.
