Has anyone done this yet? I haven't been able to find any pictures or anything. It's 4th or 5th on my list, so it's a long way off for me and I still haven't bought any of the parts, but here's a mock up.
Lio Convoy isn't too hard to get loose. The robot masters Lio Convoy is actually USD$60 and up. Super rare. The regular is only about $35. It's the Liger Zero that's the back breaker at $50 and up complete. Anyway, I have a lot of other customs to finish before I worry about it. I can't believe this hasn't been done like three years ago.
I think there was a Japanese kitbasher who did that with the Robot Masters version. I'll try to find pics of it later.
Where are you getting a Lio Convoy for that price?? I'd love to get one!! I can't find a complete loose one for less than like $60 off ebay..
I do support this idea, and am just as surprised that it hasn't been done yet... at least around here. It's actually kind of funny though, pre-beast Lio Convoy having a techno lion alt mode. Still I guess it's better than this.
Yeah, I'm equally surprised no-one's done this. I just started and almost finished my Leader Roadbuster, so I'm one step closer. I haven't looked for Lio Convoy in a few months. Crap, it looks like he is starting to get rare. This is going to be hella expensive, maybe I should get a new job first.
That robot mode is pretty sweet. The alt mode... I can do better. But first, I have a gun/tank Megatron hybrid to make. Does it even have a tail? And the front legs just disappear in bot mode. I expect more from the Japanese. Anyway, thanks for digging that up.
Just won a fairly broken, stripped down Lio Convoy for $13, so I'll start a new thread in the customs section. I really hope the 1:52 Liger Zero is big enough and I really hope my Lio Convoy isn't yellow.
