A Raiden repaint wouldn't seem to qualify as a "new combination," so hopefully we're looking at Devastator.

No other specific information. The illustration is similar to Raiden, but a design that does not exist in the combined robots that have appeared in previous Transformers works.

From the fact that it is a robot with a cannon on its shoulder that resembles Raiden, the initial design of the Train Robo that was published in the Diaclone catalog at the time can be imagined, and it is likely that variations of the Train Bot that incorporate designs that have not been adopted in the past are developed. I wonder if you will do (Prediction only)

Maybe a more traditional version of Shouki with partsforming? If it's just Shouki for now. Repaints of the trains could mean a number of things

• The next combiner isnt completely finished and there looking for something to fill the time, till it is
• Being the 40 th anniversary, they plan to devote all the new molds across the board to the mainline.
• The trains have just sold better than just about everything, but Optimus and they're going to ride. Seems a bunch of people thought the stock photos were bad and he was much better looking in person. We'll get an idea if after the show Seizan finally sells out.

Doesn't sound like we'll see Rhinox for a while, so the next 2 maybe 3 announcements should be G1 and maybe the diaclone trains taking the place of repaints. If that's the case the hope is reissues happen in December and January so they can run through 2024.

 

I'm down for Rhinox, but yea, tye wording makes it seem like he's still a ways off yet.

 

The rumours a while back talked about Rhinox and 'Soundwave +'. Given Rhinox is now confirmed, you'd expect Soundwave to come too.

The question was, and is, whether it's a '+' (MP13 toon), v1.5 (very similar idea I suppose), or an actual v2.

I was hoping for a LOT more for the 40th anniversary. It’s also the 20th anniversary of Masterpiece so my expectations were high. If all we get for the 40th are Hoist, possibly Soundwave plus, Rhinox and a Raiden repaint I will be a very sad panda.

 

They'll ride the 40th anniversary tag till the end let's hope they do an MP44 reissue

 

Ginrai can still happen for the anniversary, wouldn't be suprised if it starts with a MP44 reissue, Rodimus/Galvatron,and ends in God Ginrai. I think we'll see a little of everything , movie character,diaclone car, BW, maybe a Triplechanger.

 

Your optimism is impressive! All of that is exactly the kind of stuff I would expect for the anniversary. Let’s hope at least a couple of those things happen. Maybe we will finally get Jazz for the 40th.

 

I wouldn't bot be surprised if Jazz was saved for last and we get Mirage. If it follows last year, we have one more new mold and probably mp13+( yuck) before they "break" and start releases again in the summer.

 

Yeah like Hasbro with Legacy I think Takara for 2024 is going to go all out and celebrate different corners of Transformers Masterpiece stuff. So you’ll see G1, Beast Wars, some Diaclone repaints maybe, movie bot for MPM (maybe some Takara only repaints)

It toys sales are good for ROTB Mirage over there I can see it.

 

A very long time ago Hasui or someone else from TT said that they wanted to release Jazz last to keep people interested in the real cars MP line. They were afraid that if they released Jazz and Galvatron too soon people would lose interest and stop buying. I think that’s ridiculous but maybe they’re right? Anyway at this point I can completely see Jazz being the last of the season 1 and 2 carbots.

When I meant last, I meant the last carbot  i dont buy that quote, but there is a limited x amount of characters that people will go out of their way to get. I could understand peaking too early, but that would imply they had a set number and then they were finished.

 

I also meant carbot. Which is why I said “last of the season 1 and 2 carbots”.

 

Ah sorry ,I expect a big production anyway, which is why Jazz makes sense after 10+ years they finally finished the original car robos. On the other side I don't think we'll see any 2.0s like Sideswipe and Tracks till they' re finished sadly
