From the first grouping, I think you can count on Jazz, Mirage, Hoist, Reflector, Galvatron, Astrotrain, Insecticons, Blaster, Perceptor and Devastator. And even though you didn't list them, the Dinobots.

From the rest of the list, Blitzwing is the only one I'd count on. (Why do you consider him an outlier, anyway?)

I'd give outside odds to 2.0s of Sideswipe, Soundwave and Rodimus Prime.

Even if these ones I listed are the only ones they focus on, this has to be ten years' worth of releases. There's going to be Beast Wars in there too, and probably Armada.

 

Actually if you look at a lot of the comments on twitter, they want to stick to do JPG1 combiners and big bots for the MPG. As far as the pace it is what it is, they aren't putting out more releases than they feel they can sell. If we ever see a lot of new molds in one year its normally some conditions. This year we got 5(Jetfire/remaining trains) simply because the trains are selling like that, back in 2019 we got 3 A tier characters, a dialone and a female transformer.

 

Not sure if there is any data on this, but is there data on who’s buying the g1 (not debating what is g1 or what isn’t) masterpieces?

If the buyers are only to the kid who grew up in 80s/90s, I can’t imagine this line going on for more than 10 years tops due to lifestyle changes lol.

By then, most of us may be selling off vs buying  

 

We'll be dead. In addition to the long list there's also the fact they do things that weren't in Sunbow or the movie.

Minibots? Brawn, Windcharger, Huffer, Gears? I just want to complete the Ark bots and this is why I've turned to 3rd party to complete my collection. TT is taking WAY too long. Hell, they've been "annoucing" Cliffjumper for almost two years now with nothing official.

 

I gave up hoping for completing anything outside of the Diaclone Cars. I say 5 years to complete Hoist, Jazz and Mirage. If they ever do Jazz or Mirage that is. Been waiting for Jazz since 2012 when they announced Sideswipe.

Well if they keep the same pace for MPG line than 1 combiner every two years. Unless they do a Giant or God Ginrai then maybe 1 release that year and no Combiner Team.

 

3 weeks and we can see the Project Raiden completed, finally.

 

Would love for them to at least tease the next MPG, but we'll probably be waiting till December

 

Nah, June or July at max (they have to announce a classic MP in May or June), and i have the sensation that this time they want to close the MPG project in a shorter time, having to deal with restock and selling previsions is not easy
.

 

After finally getting Skyfire in today, I'm ready for some more bigger bots. He's a pretty nice change of pace from both the toon stuff and the hybrid stuff. Takara doen't normally do big and chunky but I'd love to see an Omega Supreme and some Dinobots.

 

Nice list. I think the line can go on as long as the market supports it. If our demo doesn’t age out by the time your list is completed, Takara can simply do a newer version of any character. The IP is deep and TT is slow.

 

Wondering if this is a transition year, then next one having a completed combiner plus a BW character plus two Classic MP.

 

That would be great. I don’t have any attachment to the trainbots since they were not originally released here in the U.S. nor a part of any cartoon I watched. Looking forward to them releasing more characters I’m familiar with.

 

With the releases Saturday, the table is clear (minus trainbots) so we should see some stuff in the next few months ( April-June).

Was wandering who can fit Skyfire box size and pricepoint:
- BW Rampage
- BW Optimal Optimus
If Gattai mode sticks on 30 cm:

And with nano figures:

So the next big bot is same pricing as Skyfire? Or has a box that size?
