Seems like a sure thing, right? I think the general consensus is when, not if. That pack of cassettes included a mold of steel jaw and most of us assumed a Blaster was probably already done. Maybe it’s being redesigned to match the newer toon direction as that Steeljaw mold looks like the Hasui era of design. It may have been a mold they wanted to get SOME use out of before going back to the drawing board. Who knows. I suspect Blaster will be coming eventually, it’s just a matter of when.

 

I have a sneaking suspicion Takara will first release a V2 MP Soundwave, and then release MP Blaster. Hopefully, MP Twincast will follow soon after.

 

Hmmm, I personally don't think Nightstalker(Steeljaw) was made in the Hasui era, as the detail is non-existent compared to the other cassettes.
For example, MP Ravage has G1 toy-inspired details on the legs and neck, but Nightstalker does not.

 

We know projects get started and delayed (Skyfire). I think the Steeljaw mode was probably farther along then the other tapes and the success of Megatron, they just decided to dump those plans.

 

I believe an insider said that Blaster and Jazz were both done around the time of MP Tracks. Jazz supposedly was reworked to fit in the new direction of the line. Blaster was probally reworked as well. Since the diaclone cars are almost done hopefully well see Blaster and Perceptor.

I wonder how credible leaks about products led by TakaraTomy are.
I would have to believe it if the prototype images were leaked like Megatron and Cliffjumper.
But I can't believe it when it's just saying something like "That character will be released in Masterpiece.".

 

Skyfire was rumored, was dismissed as Seige and low and behold they a totally were working on one at the time. I think sometimes stuff gets shared and its early in the pipeline and people jump to assume that's their main project.

 

I think Skyfire has been worked on for a while. The grey prototype that was shown had MP-10 standing next to it and not the newer MP-44 Optimus. Kind of leads me to believe they’ve had it in development but just needed a good time to safely make it work at that size. The line is pretty successful now so maybe they just held out. (I’m speculating obviously because that’s what the thread is for.)

 

They pushed it back to release the Seige version first. Kind of the same thing with CJ the listing leaked and people assumed it must have been earthrise and a year later the test shots start leaking

 

I dont believe any MP rumor that's more than a couple years old. It's too easy to just name a Sunbow character and then claim you were right when Takara eventually makes them years later.

 

I need a rumor that turns into a reveal in the next few days 
Chances those of us in the US will be waiting a while for Skyfire, but it would be nice to get another G1 announcement to get hyped over.

Still not sure we see something this month. The 2 weeks to a month wait for us in the US has cooled off my Skyfire excitement some, so a new (not seen) release would help, pass the time.

 

With the second movie trailer supposedly being shown during the Superbowl and I think there's a show (WinFest?) upcoming, maybe we'll finally see MP CJ revealed? How about it, Takara? We all know he's coming, we've seen the leaked pics.
