It’s like Megatron with out his silencer and stock, and it appears he sells well enough complete versus the people who decided to pass because they didn’t want the extras.

Idk. A Masterpiece Optimus Prime just doesn’t feel like a masterpiece without EVERYTHING. All the fixin’s, including the trailer. And yes, I extend that to MP-01.

I don't think this will ever happen.

OP is the centerpiece of a MP collection, and is buffed enough to be also a standalone piece (like a SOC).

It's more a take or leave, and considering the sold out, they're not wrong.
On the other robots, they have more limits, like a ranged budget (i dunno, max 100 euros for requested carbots, max 60 euros for obscure carbots - talking about new molds, not repaints-, max 150 euros for seekers molds, and so on)

Odds we see anything in 2022 besides CJ/Skyfire/Raiden. Knowing what you're getting takes some of the fun out of it too me.

We still don't have Official confirmation of MP CJs existance, yet. Hopefully Takara will confirm or deny soon.

Have Takara confirmed Raiden and Skyfire are 2022 releases, or have they just confirmed they're being worked on?
I don't believe either even has an MP number yet. :sly:

So far, the only 2022 confirmations are MP Nightbird for February and MP Crosscut for March.:popcorn

Sold out doesn't mean much when we don't know production numbers, and TheChosenPrime has them in stock right now. Big Bad Toy Store had them in stock for $449.99 up until two weeks ago. This is something that came out in 2019.

What is this "fun" you speak of? I'm not familiar with this...

I get what you mean, but I personally see aspects from both whether or not we know about something coming being fun. DBZ Figuarts stuff being shown off months in advance still has the fun of just counting the days until release and just only having the couple images from the initial reveal to go off of.

For one that's how i've been with Cooler, literally counting the days till I get my in stock notification from Anime-Export, hahaha.

But the lack of such knowledge also has it's ups as well, I mean, look at the Starscream cycle for one. Best fun i've ever had with a figure reveal yet thanks to the people on here.

I'll have you shipped soon, sweet prince of the skies...

Right, but are there 3P figures of DBZ besides cheap KO’s? If there’s no competition out there they can show off releases as far in advance as they want, right?

50th anniversary of the Countach coming up  . If they did all that for the Turbo and Skids, dont think they would pass the chance for one of the most iconic sportscar of all times.

Oh, cue the "There are plenty of other figures they can do" , "I dont see the need for a new Sideswipe/ Red Alert as I'm not a fan of hyper toon accuracy" or " Not before they release Deepcover in the MP12 mold"
    :lol

By the time Sideswipe 2.0 is revealed people will be asking for Sunstreaker 2.0

Now which happens first Soundwave 2.0 or Sideswipe 2.0
Both? That would allow for a ton of repaints in a year

Why not both at the same time?

While some of us would be ecstatic there’s still the vocal percentage who would have a cow because they dare did a redo. Maybe they announce one by the end of this year and the other Jan. 1 again.
Just realized it’s August, they seriously have to be announcing something new in the next couple of months to prep for 2022. They’ve kind of dragged Raiden long enough and they have to have something concrete to show.

my post was a joke, it’s a Soundwave repainted as Sideswipe

I want redos more than many but I also would be fine with one a year among other new characters.

    2022: Skyfire, Cliffjumper, and Soundwave

    2023: Reflector, Trailbreaker and Sideswipe

2024: Galvatron, Jazz and Rodimus Prime

    etc etc

This actually makes sense in the context of how the Skids MP came about. I'd be more than happy if Takara use the Countach anniversary as an excuse to revisit Sideswipe/Red Alert and their repaints. There can never be enough Countach figures :D

Lamborghini are also meant to be revealing a new remake of the Countach this week:drool:
However that turns out, I hope HasTak are keeping watch and also incorporate that alt mode into some line or other.

Eh, i don't think OP has low production numbers, and i don't think also the BBTS and CP products are the same stock of 2019..

Sorry to be the party shitter, but i strongly believe that a 2.0. mold of a secondary character will not ever happen (if not trained by one of the main characters - seeker repaints/remolds, new cassetticons for Soundwave 2.0.) Happy to be proved wrong (at least only for sideswipe, complete the main cast before).

    For now we have:

    - Gen: Skywarp
    - Feb: Nightbird
    - Mar: Crosscut
    ??- Skyfire (Agoust?)
??- Cliffjumper (September? Pattern like OP + Bee?)
    ??- Raiden.

For Raiden, they could pull out a Skids move: same molds sold together:

Month 1: One of the body bot
    Month 2: Other body bot
    Month 3: Legs bot
    Month 4: Arms bot
