MP Brawn confirmed. I don't know about Fire in the Sky but I thing Brawn appeared with Skyfire twice. The trip to Wheeljack's lab on Cybertron and him and Windcharger in South America.

I think the more likely characters to be released from that list are (obviously, I don't include Skids and Skyfire):

Trailbreaker, Hoist, Blaster, Brawn, Huffer, Blitzwing and Galvatron

 

I'm surprised astrotrain isn't on that list especially considering how popular trains are in japan, also I'd deem insecticons as likely due to thier diaclone heritage.

 

Between Raiden/Jetfire and BW not really doing repaints, I think everyone is pretty much on the table now especially since it looks like they're trying to keep things a little cheaper and simpler. I'd love to get back to 2016 where we had 4 molds and about 5 repaints, 4 of them Sunbow characters.

 

If that list is legit, Gears is getting passed over for consideration again. Sigh... I haven’t seen a third party version that looks good to me and I keep thinking maybe Gears will have this minor resurgence and get a few figures. MP being one of them. It sure doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen after Hasbro passing over him in Kingdom. I just don’t think he’ll be done any time soon. It’s bizarre because he had a spotlight episode.

 

Think they would have to get a couple of minibots under their built before attempting Gears and sandwich him inbetween

 

I think it should've been obvious everyone was on the table when shockwave was revealed considering the fact that he is a decepticon and his g1 toy wasn't made by Takara.

 

Shockwave is a top tier Decepticon, alongside Starscream, Soundwave and of course Megatron. Those are the only four Decepticons we've actually gotten, aside from repaints and remoulds of Starscream (TC, SW and the Coneheads) and the retroactive Diaclone Decepticons. Shockwave didn't seem like a given until we got him, but in hindsight it makes a lot of sense to make him.

So far with Autobots we haven't had much reason to believe Skyfire is possible. Rumours aside, and before Arcee, the only Autobots we've gotten have been leaders (Grimlock, Rodimus, Hot Rod), Diaclone-origin carbots, and Ultra Magnus who was marketed as being designed to carry those cars in his alt-mode. It definitely felt like we might not get any releases outside of those with Diaclone origins, and even with Arcee it simply felt like we might just be adding some movie bots to that list.

Skyfire really opens up all possibilities yet again, which is truly fantastic! Also for some reason in this thread there was often the impression that 'Skyfire was only in three episodes he was barely prominent!' when in fact he featured pretty heavily in the cartoon.

 

Well said, since Takara is letting all hell break loose when it comes to character selection I hope we get an mp omega supreme to go alongside the inevitable mp devastator.

 

We can certainly keep dreaming big, why not!

At one point I would've said that WFC Omega Supreme meant there was less of a chance of an eventual MP, but since Skyfire I feel like everything is possible again. Omega was pretty prominent in the toon.

Getting back to the minibots, I think it's a bolder statement going with the s2 versus the original 6. The s2 minis have more "fun" altmodes; a glider,hovercraft,tank, UFO and a dune buggy, I think their uniqueness is actually a selling point.

Kind of odd with the anniversary next year, the only projects mentioned were Raiden and Jetfire. With most of the cast in the mainline this year, I wonder if the Springer rumor will still have legs or even a Wheelie. I'm actually coming around to Blitzwing coming , who may have a hybrid style with his alt modes, I wouldnt be surprised if we didnt get the flying wedge and a more realistic tank. Astrotrain would probably look pretty realistic in both modes, you would figure they would want Blitzwing to match.
