I like the new direction as well. I just wish QC was better since we basically buy these things blind

 

Oh yeah, I've said in here many times that clearly the market wants the toon bots or Takara wouldn't keep making them and I wouldn't want to deny fans what they want.

I'm just stating where I'm at. Personally, I just wish they had finished the car bots in the one style but it wasn't to be. Plus they make more money selling the + repaints so they win.

I just need to work out what I do. I've come to the opinion that I'm hanging on for no reason. They aren't going to release what I personally want so I shouldn't keep hoping and then being disappointed. It's not what this hobby should be about. It's meant to be fun!

I think I could get into a Sunstreaker +. I don't display my current Sunstreaker as even though I bought him I didn't really get into him either. He just sits in his box. Megatron is the newest MP in my display. He still works with the earlier bots for me.

 

Really hope Arcee means Hot Rod + is on the way and released shortly before her. Really dig how they've often put out a + figure to pave the way for an upcoming new mold (Red Alert+ before Inferno, Sideswipe+ before Sunstreaker, Bluestreak+ before Optimus and Bumblebee).

Also wondering how long it'll be before the next Movie/s3/Headmaster character. Hope it's not another 4+ years! Been a fan of that cast since the beginning and would love to have a whole shelf full of 'em!

 

Arcee and Bumblebee 2.0 are without a doubt trailblazing figures in the MP world (even though I find them personally repugnant) ... chibi bee unlocks the minibot door we've been waiting on for so long, while Arcee indicates the Movie cast will be fair game now that the JP 30 yr. anniversary has arrived ... combined with the Raiden project, we've really seen all our wildest TT dreams come to fruition. The only uncharted horizon remaining at this point is the triplechanger - and if TT is taking on esoteric combiners I find it hard to fathom why they'd shy away from a lesser challenge ... Good times ahead folks, we just have to keep our fingers crossed that the demo pool of collectors doesn't get aged/priced out in the coming 10+ yrs.

 

I really hope Arcee means we get more movie characters. I would love Galvatron, even though I know the bad bots don’t sell very well in Japan. Kup, Blurr, and maybe the first foray into triple changers could be Springer?!

 

If they're doing Arcee, then I see Kup and Blurr as distinct possibilities... Springer, with his triple changing, would be great, but with the move towards more articulation, and being a triple changer I can easily see him being 200+ if he happened.

 

The '86 Movie cast, plus the S1 characters yet to be done, easily sets us up for another ten years of G1 MPs, and probably longer.

 

Oh yeah, he’d probably be the same price as Dinobot. That’s the only reason I don’t collect BW, I have to draw the line somewhere with all the price increases. MP G1 seasons 1,2& movie are all I collect now. Along with 3rd party of course. I’d buy a lot more if the prices where not so dang high!

Yeah right? They will Totally milk it.

 

And, honestly, I’d pay it.

 

Anyone know what version of Kup is behind Arcee in the images?

 

That will be Legends LG-46 Chear, Takara's version of Titans Return Kup.
