Had to do lots of catching up in here to figure out where the shockwave news came from . Really excited to hear ! If these rumors come true , the MP line will have one of the best years in its entire run so far . I'm so thankful for this line !

Gotcha. Well, if we're thinking five years ahead then yeah, anything's possible. :D  ;)

Same here, personally. I guess this is how others feel about Beast Wars, but I have no attachment to Armada. Just never did it for me in any sense. Great for those who like it though.

Great story! I'm sure you won't be the only one, as well. :)

Agreed, the promising thind about the Shockwave rumour (if true) is that virtually no figure is out the running for TT, this rumor certainly has me having second thoughts about buying any further 3rd party Masterpieces.

Start buying from Japan and you'll save loads. I'd imagine Ironhide will be around what you normally pay for a car bot, maybe a bit less with the 30% preorder discount.

Yep! At this point, NONE of us should be paying $80 for an Autobot car when you have so many overseas options.

Got too agree with this, I wish I'd have known this sooner, I only started MP collecting in January and most of my purchases have either been through the eBay or domestic online sellers, however more recently I've discovered Chimungmung which has competitive prices and a great service and better still (although I've yet to use them yet) Hobbylink Japan, they offer a 30% preorder discount which even after shipping is a fair bit less than you would pay for the cheapest eBay option.

I've been almost exclusively buying through BBTS, which after shipping typically lands each car bot around $90US. About where do they land from HLJ including shipping to the states? I've looked at them, but I guess I've always missed the 30% preorder discount because when I've priced it out, it maybe seems a few dollars less, so I just go with BBTS.

When do the 30% PO discount come in?

Gotta jump on those Asian preorders as soon as they go up. They're usually filled up within a month of that. There's HLJ, but there's also Nippon Yasan, AnimeExport... a few others, too. They're usually all around the same price. The carbots I've preordered have been around $60-65 shipped and I usually get them about a week after their release. Bumblebee was about $55. Big guys like Ultra Magnus and Star Saber are about $150 shipped when preordered from Asian dealers. I think I got SoundBlaster/Ratbat for $130. Those savings really add up! I usually see customer service as the reason some guys still choose BBTS over Asian dealers, though.

Let's put it this way: I pay way less for official MP's, pay less than the shitty USA shipping options (EMS for the win - best in the world), AND the items arrive to me sooner than 90% of my USA orders do... How's that for a big ol' "lol"? Seriously, right?

You'll be saving like 40 dollars. Maybe a little less.

    Love your avatar, Cyclonus :)

Seriously though, who do those in the UK find most reasonable for prices? Seems we're not really spoilt for choice or value

They did make him smaller in bot mode. He's the same height as MP-10. The others are like an inch or more taller. It follows the 'holy' scale chart pretty much dead on. But watching the show, they always looked to be the same height to me. A big fat IF TT ever does the rest of the dinos and redoes Grimlock, I hope they're all the same size, and about 12" tall. But neither is likely to happen.

I believe AE does 30% off preorders (for the first month it goes up or so) and HLJ does 20%. However, I find HLJ to have a bit cheaper shipping rates, you pay when it's in stock, and have better customer service. I haven't had any issues AE and have ordered several times, but I hear they totally suck about even responding unless you file a paypal dispute, which might have elapsed by the time the figure is in stock and ships.
