Just when I thought GI Joe was dead, they pull a Black Series and get me all mixed back up. - was able to get wave one SE and Scarlett from a local Toy store. Very impressed over all. I'm not into Marvel Legends so these figs with all the extra articulations are super fun to pose. I wish Snake Eyes had more accurate guns, but I guess thank goodness for Marauder John. - I tried my hand at the panic for Cobra Island and I was lucky enough to get Beach Head. This guy absolutely kills it. Wow what an excellent figure. I passed on the wave 1 Roadblock because I love the Cobra Island/Kimbo Slice version more. Now if I can get my hands on some of these awesome Cobra Troopers. Its weird too, I've seen some folks find wave 2 at targets now as well.
Based upon his life-vest, I can only assume that Roadblock (Standard) is a member of the Coast Guard Youth Auxiliary. He has traveled in a time machine (Gigawatt) that Doc Mindbender invented, and he has to get back to the year 1985 where he can tell Cobra Island Roadblock about body massage. I mean, Netflix, this gold is just sitting here waiting to be animated.
Found the entire Classified wave 1 at Walmart in Cornelius, OR while I was working today. Store had just finished their toy department reset, too.
When I started unloading my 25th+ collection, this guy was a no brainer keep. Probably the best figure of that entire era.
If they are just gonna reissue figures for the 4 inch line what would you want to see? There are a few I never got that are hard to find or currently very expensive....like Zaranna or Sgt Slaughter?
Be warned, that’s a 4” figure, so it wouldn’t work with classified (I almost made that mistake) but might work for the retro line
I would buy up some more 25th Range Vipers and I don't even collect Joes anymore. Is it? Huh... well, I hadn't planned on buying it but I appreciate you letting others know.
I do wonder if fortnite stuff will see a small bump in purchases as people try to integrate the two. I always thought this figure had an interesting look. If I were collect the new Joe line, I could see me troop building these since most stores I haunt have them for four or five bucks now.
Earlier delivery than expected! Since I have CC preordered, there's no need for me to visit the stores looking for these guys any longer. Aside from Baroness, there's nobody coming up that I feel I need for the collection.
I just snagged two G.I.Joe Classified Beach Head figures from the White Rock Target. I left FOUR. No other figures. AND I just found G.I.Joe Classified Duke at the Livermore Walmart. Nothing else of note. The Livermore Target MAY have fresh cases of the other G.I. Joe Classified figures in back. At least according to the in-store scanner. But they were griping about the street date of the Beach-Head that I asked them to scan. They eventually snatched him out of my hand. But there is another one on the bottom shelf. If they didn't pull him yet. Happy hunting!
