    That's not a bad photo

    I have two questions

1 is the Snake eyes with the silver eye piece a comic con exclusive or just a online exclusive?

2 i don't have time to go through the 80+ pages i missed do we know anyone else we're getting aside from Duke, Snake eyes, Roadblock, Scarlet, and the Silver face guy?

The silver eyes one was a Pulse exclusive (though it could have been planned as a SDCC exclusive but not sure how likely that is considering the timeline--though more are coming in July...). So far those five you mentioned are in wave 1. Wave 2 we only heard rumors and the only two I remember are Gung-ho and Cobra Commander.

Roadblock is a decent figure. Not great IMO. Fills the roster kind of thing.

Pros: Right stature amongst other Joes. Easily identified as Roadblock even if you aren’t fond of the gold. Decent paint apps. I love the design of the weapon and the translucent blue plastic inside the nozzle.

Cons: Hip joints should have been ratcheting to help support posing with the weapon. My sample has a hard time standing up while holding his weapon, but I may have just not figured out the sweet spot yet. I wish he had come with a pistol of some kind and a way to store the weapon on his back. I loved that ROC(?) Roadblock could store the large hoe and/or large gun on his back in the backpack hole.

Interesting: I just realized that each figure has a layer of plastic over an inner construction where the hips/legs attached. The layer is functionally pants. I don’t know how well I’m describing it. Hard to understand this without a sample in hand though. I really appreciate this extra investment into the construction of the figure instead of just building it all into the mold.

Overall: I think a few extra accessories would have really increased his value for me. Some other weapons, making the jacket easily removable, storage for gun. Least favorite of the 4 wave 1 Joes.

On a whim, I pulled out my Marauder Inc Kickstarter figures that I haven't messed with in five years. These were pretty cool, but the sheer amount of customisability can be a little overwhelming. I took a look at their site as well. They've really blown up over the last five years with their offerings. Wow.

That "pants" layer, is it over the drop-down leg joints?

I'm curious to see how compatible Classified figures are with the Action Force accessories.

I think so? I tried to get a good pic to illustrate it.

Amazon ran out of their pre-orders pretty fast, so all the current listings are being filled by 3rd party resellers. Good sign for the Classified line though, shows there's demand out there for GI Joe, so hopefully they can give us more classic looking characters sooner.

...I’m thinking about the stylised 6-inch Joes...I think they’re ok as long as Hasbro doesn’t stray too far from the RAH designs. Example, Destro and Snake-eyes.

The one that I don’t like is Roadblock’s new beard...kinda hard to get pass it as he was my fave “black” Joe, followed by Stalker and top 5 fave character in the franchise.

A noob question but was there anything official made with regards to Dino Vipers? I sort of lost interest with Joes during the Tiger Force period! X)

I won’t mind if its that croc as it isn’t as cartoony looking like the tiger (came with Storm Shadow)that Hasbro reused for Ka Zar’s Sabertooth buddy - Zabu! The cat’s eyes were too cartoony!

I'm of the same mindset! I think TF Generations line is a model they can use, modern updates that don't really stray too far from the classic designs. I think they can also look at the popular figures from their recent Joe lines like PoC also. A number of them were modernized takes on the classic designs.

Yeah, thats why I’m so into Super7’s Thundercats and MOTU Classics...

I’m also apprehensive about going deep into the new Joes is that I got a gut feeling we are going to see RAH aesthetics in this line...

Agree! Hasbro has had recent sucesses with retro looking modernized figures with Star Wars and Marvel Legends so here’s hoping they won’t wait too long to do ARAH.

Forget about BAF, bring back flag points, and offer new pieces never before done, like Water Robots or the Robot with the red Cobra head.

Thanks man! Tbh I’m unfamiliar with the later joes and cobras figures...they weren’t easily available in my country.

You're welcome. There's some gems in the later figures, some that weren't done justice then could be done justice now.
