Corps Elite! have actually made me pay attention to 1:18th figures again. I found that psychologically interesting since i grew up on GI Joe and buy / read GI Joe and Marvel comics yet i have next to zero interest in GI Joe or Marvel Universe toys. Corps Elite ! has no comic, movie tie in nor nostalgia working in its favour yet...the figures look pretty damn good. The articulation is just the right amount now that they brought back ball jointed hips.
Looking for some 3 3/4 scale lockers. Any suggestions besides hunting for multiple World Peacekeepers sets?
Found this site that has something that looks like what you have pictured. Locker / Wardrobe with Working Door - 1:18 Scale Accessory for 3 3/4 Inch Action Figures
From this review they don't seem to be molded in, but I think they are glued. JoeBattlelines: Review of Marauder Gun-Runners Diorama & Accessories Wave
My collection is up for sale. I’m close to selling the bear trap box set and several figs from ff 1-4. If anybody is interested I have some more.
I don't remember getting it, and I know I didn't open it, but my spreadsheet says I got one of the barracks last year. Must be in storage. D'oh! That gate looks pretty cool. I doubt we'll see them stateside, but I hope so. I wonder, is it supposed to be the entrance to a secure facility or a prison. My first thought was prison, but if that's the case, the the razor wire is tilted the wrong way. It looks like they're trying to keep people out...
Just broke down and bought a 100% complete ARAH vintage Mauler tank in excellent working condition. Used the $15 off coupon from eBay; would've preferred using a 20% coupon but the timing wasn't right for it (there weren't any 100% complete Maulers available at the time of the 20% off coupon) so what can ya do? Still, I'm psyched for it. Loved the MOBAT so the Mauler should be just as good if not better.
Ooh, I had the Mauler as a kid... I still remember opening that one up for Christmas. That was the only Joe vehicle I had until YEARS later I got the Night Raven. I remember the Mauler works on batteries, so I forget if you can move the treads without it being turned on? I also had an Airtight and Crimson Twins and that was pretty much all I had. I don't really know why I had so little Joes? I wonder if it was because I rarely found the main original characters on shelves by 84' 85'? Or maybe I just didn't ask for any for Holidays and Birthdays?
The Night Raven (along with the Killer Whale) is on my to-get list for sure. Although I had a few figures, I don't recall owning any ARAH Joe vehicles as a kid outside of small stuff like the Cobra ASP. Guess I'm making up for lost time as an adult collector and finding new appreciation for them. The Mauler looks like a lot of fun. I have several (Modern Era) Heavy Metals to use for it (already have one driving the Joe ROC Rhino). I know the battery operated vehicles are few and for between (and aren't really RC at all) but their heftiness compared to the lighter mass/weight non-battery vehicles just brings to mind a higher quality to me.
The night raven is a fan favorite. I have a NR shell I am selling for $10. I always sold them complete for about $60
