I have not Yeah the pets were another thing that motivated me into collecting this stuff. Ask for spending it helps that I sold my rare copies of Dragon Ball Z Kai on Blu-ray to have the plagiarized music that had to be ripped away from later releases. That was almost $300 that I made selling those four sets
Tiger Force Outback is 1 of the best ones I bought last year. I also recommend Sgt. Slaughter which comes with a carded mini-figure of himself which I forgot it would come with.
Yeah, there's been tons of discussion across social media about red "Crimson Guard" leadership repaints as an exclusive. As they were done in the past, it was inevitable... I'm thinking it could be one of those annoying Target "Red Card" things since a) red, b) simple repaints, and c) prior versions were Target exclusives, but time will tell the venue...
I have both on my list and I almost did Slaughter during the Warehouse sale. As for Outback I do like that he looks older as its so rare to get older characters in any toyline
Excellent pics, they are nice aren't they... Received 2 BATs from Amazon today. They are decent repaints of one of the best classified figures to date IMO. Side note, I really strongly dislike the windowless packaging.
Opened the Commander finally, and it's hard to describe how good these figures are. It's like the cartoon came alive into action figure form. Well done S7, you have truly hit a home run with this line. I really hope this line goes 20-30 waves deep honestly....
Yeah, I don’t know why Hasbro never thought to make more show accurate figures like the Super7 figs. Or ARAH card art accurate figures for that matter. Seems like it would have been easy sales. Why let it be farmed out? Will Hasbro look at the Ultimates, see the positive fan reaction and maybe try that approach with some of the other shows like Resolute or Renagades? Doubt it.
Based on those photos I placed on order for S7 Snake Eyes, CC, & Duke at EE, use code KYLE for 10% off. If I like them I will be getting the rest but only main cast characters and no troop builders.
I'm actually hoping somebody KOs that Duke head at Classified scale. It generally happens with Mezco and Hot Toys releases but I don't think anyone has ever KOed a Super7 headsculpt aside from their MOTU stuff. In general, they have a bad reputation for human heads -- but I'm not sure that's deserved as I think the decos/factory choices hurt whereas the sculpts were quite good. And most of their latest stuff uses very large, involved faceprinting. Think like what Hasbro does but 6x as much printing area. The Silverhawks turned out great because of this (and I suspect it was done because the painted Silverhawks prototypes were hated on and Super7 has had issues with handpainted faces going off spec). Faces don't go off spec as easily when you start printing them. Can anybody do an extreme closeup of the Joes to see if they have the printing dots?
I got the first wave of Ultimates in hand. I wasn't sure exactly what they would feel like. They are very cool figures, but their best quality is definitely that they look like they just stepped out of the toon. This can be good and bad cause some of the weapons look pretty wack. They are made of a much more stiff type of plastic than the Classified. I'm not really used to it. For example, the BATS backpack feels like it's going to snap just by attaching it. Neither of them did, so no worries I guess. Their rifles both arrived slightly bent and it feels dangerous to try to get them back into straight shape. They might snap. Maybe a hairdryer would help? They are cool for what they are. I am happy to have them, but they are not a replacement for the rejuvenated Classified line IMO. The new Classified reveals look very exciting.
