I think Hasbro is right to go with the Steel Brigade as the Joe trooper; it’s simply a more dynamic and exciting design for a toy that benefits by its visual appeal. Not that Greenshirts wouldn’t sell to the core consumer of Classified, but so will Steel Brigade and they have more visual flare.

I don't regret it. I regret not buying the modern 1/18 scale 15years ago through 2018 with the convention exclusives. Prices are too insane now on ebay and on sales groups but I'd love to have the 4" scaled skystrikers and a few of the ground vehicles like the rhino and fury and snow cat (and all alt decos).

When does the next wave go up for pre-order? Seems like most of the Joes that were pre-orderable are now released other than the wave with Cover Girl, SM BBQ, and Lt. Falcon in it.

I would expect the next round of POs to go up after the next livestream…which happens sometime this month!

Count me in on the Skystriker blues. I really want the jet for display as I don't have an o-ring collection. The jet can be had for about the same price as the Haslab was on Ebay with no figures. Just not sure if the value is there for just the vehicle.

    Steel Brigade 2-Pack question:

So the male version looks a little bulky to me thanks to the green shoulder pads. Can we expect those to be removeable?

Like I said, it looks to be Stalker and Movie Scarlett's torsos under there. I don't see why they wouldn't be. I hope to remove them too for a more ARAH look.

Looking at the pics i think that the shoulder pads are kept in place only by those straps, so it should be easy to slide them across the arms.

Got back home after being gone all day to see Pulse was sold out of the pre-orders for Serpentor and Dr. Mindbender as I figured, but fortunately someone (they know who they are) ordered a Dr. Mindbender (the one I was missing), so come July I will have the good doctor. Thanks man!

On the reveals today...my wallet is legit tying a noose around its neck. I want everything revealed.

Snow Job looks amazing! He obviously must be a deluxe figure like Sgt. Slaughter with all that extra stuff he comes with.

Scrap Iron looks awesome as well. I love that they upgraded his missile launcher to be a mobile unit now. I wonder if his helmet will be removeable.

Tele-Viper and the Trubble Bubble...oh, man...he's gonna be expensive cause I will want at least 2 of him and the "Trub Bubb" as I'm keeping myself down to 2 of each troop builder.

And then Steel Brigade...I mean Steel Corps. 2-pack. I was hoping this was going to be the Joe troop builder. I was honestly expecting they'd try and reuse the Duke body to be like the vintage ARAH toy was, but they went a different direction while still keeping the figure very recognizable. Cool there's both a male and female, too. I would say I would prefer the blue lines on the vintage style helmet visor not there and just be black like the old figure, but...minor nitpick. The alternate helmet is straight up HALO Master Chief inspired.
Also, the fact that not one, but two jet packs are included is awesome...though I get the feeling this set is going to be around the cost of the Viper 3-pack.

You’re right about Scarlett; the male is the Beach Head torso and arms giving him the sweater design from POC.

Upon seeing Scrap Iron’s new drone, I thought it would’ve made for an interesting new take on the character to make him disabled with the drone as his chair.

    Snow Job - Definite buy
Scrap Iron - figure is OK, but not a figure I want to spend deluxe price for
Steel Corps - I might pick up for the dude. I don't need the chick, but I will use the extra jetpack for someone else, probably Stalker. The best part about this set for me is the jetpack, because now all we need is a new head and helmet and Hasbro can make Starduster. We have enough good figure parts to pull from to construct the rest of the body.
Tele Viper - Those arms kill the figure for me. Easy pass. I REALLY hope the inevitable Python Patrol repaint gets flesh colored arms. Actually, even if those were flesh colored arms, I still don't think they look good. Recondo's arms would look closer to Tele Viper's arms.

Wasn't Steel Brigade that figure that you could customize with your own name and ID card back in the 80s by mailing in box tops?

Yep. That was the whole gimmick for the figure...it was basically YOU as part of G.I.Joe.

Yes. It's the figure that if Hasbro had their stuff together, they would have had available for the Selfie Series.
