Gotta admit, I was a little bummed and jealous missing out on the Pulse Alley Vipers, but then these showed up...
Why are they still in a box!?! I just know Amazon is going to take forever to fulfill any orders at this stage. Sigh.
And yet my alley vipers and bats are still unfulfilled status. Put in order at 2:36pm est and nothing but take my money and make me wait...I am normally patient but when people are already getting stuff and some got theirs shipped who placed orders after is kind of ridiculous.
The Spirit, Storm Shadow, Officer wave is amazing. All three are contenders for best-of-the-entire-line. I can't wait to get my hands on Spirit.
I was going to customize a Cobra Infantry into a Cobra Scarface (Marvel Comics), but I think the Cobra Officer is a better starting point. The Officer’s harness (vs the full vest of the Infantry/Trooper) and the cloth looking mask (vs the more modern mask) track closer to the old comic illustrations.
OOF. The B.A.T. is MONEY. So much detail, so much presence. The paint apps are mostly sharp, especially on the head. The part swapping works well enough and adds tons of built-in customization. Between the arm pieces, the head, and the chest plate, these guys are Vipers 2.0 for troops with a uniform, cohesive look that can still be individualized to distinguish specific figures. Customizers are going to have a field day adding their own paints apps and touches to the broken head, the arms, and the weapons as well as the backpack. Even though I wanted a limited number of B.A.T.s for reasons of shelf canon, I'm wishing I'd ordered more now. Definitely gonna be happy with the 5 I'll have though.
UPS notified me that I have a package coming from Hasbro... I'm guessing it's my Vipers and BATs but I never got a shipping email and the order still says unfulfilled. First time that's happened to me.
It’s great to see all of the positivity of the Classified line compared to where we were a year or so ago. Hasbro is turning things around well and we’re on the verge of another golden era of Joe collecting.
I wonder what they will do for Cardback Baroness and Lady Jaye? Any mold changes, like Baroness shoulder pads?? Will they totally lean into toy look, or maybe Lady Jaye gets ARAH toon deco?
My guess is same figures just different decos. Lady Jaye will probably be more toon accurate with darker green pants. Baroness will prob be in the crimson outfit or the blue one but basically the same figure. Just got to look at star wars and marvel as an example. Same figures just different paint apps to make people justify buying again. Only they will have Arah style cardbacks.
I’m thinking we will get the same exact figures but with toy accurate decos — bright green for Lady Jaye and all black for Baroness.
I feel the Lady Jaye is the worst figure in Classified. I wouldn't mind seeing it done up again completely. I don't think alternate colors alone can save it. The Baroness I love as is. I probably don't need another black outfit one. Could go for a blue outfit or Python Patrol version though.
I kind of agree. She isn't as cool as I feel like she could be. Same with Gungho. I feel like both need a redo. The others I am good with though.
Looking to upgrade the Alley Vipers guns, anyone know where I can get more realistic looking AV weapons?
What luck! Ran into Walmart to grab Zyrtec and found new GI Joes! I saw 2 Gung Ho’s and thought I missed them but I found them out in the action alley. Looked like someone thought they were going to get them but decided to just leave them somewhere randomly. there was a second Alley Viper but I don’t do Army Building anymore.
