Still finding them in stores would require that they were previously found in stores, which they never were.
I criticized this line when it was first revealed. The 1st wave looked like Fortnite characters. But I have to admit, these figures are starting to look more appealing to me. I am particularly impressed with Croc Master and Alley Viper. What I need to see to get me to collect this line is a good ARAH-ish Duke, Flint, and Cobra Commander. For Duke and Flint, I could go with original or Tiger Force. With Cobra Commander I could go with the original face plate or armored version.
I think they heard the complaints loud and clear and dialed back the modernization and leaned a bit more towards the classic look...
I think this parallels with the change in management too. Former manager whose background was with board games left for Amazon and Warden(whose background was Gijoe for years) came back and replaced her. The reason I think that is due to most of the same designers remaining(maybe all?) but management being the main change. The direction they’re going in with Classified right now is modernized with ARAH inspiration without replicating it 1 for 1 yet maintaining instant recognition. I think that’s a good balance for the line. Then for ARAH, they have the Haslab Skystriker which is a heavy and targeted throwback. I definitely think this is the Warden influence we’re seeing.
I would love to see the Alley Viper in black, blue, and green colors because well you guys already know why I dig that color combo. I know it won't happen probably they'll do a black and green or black and blue take if there was a version like that. Still that's just my two cents.
…kinda cheesed off…the only way I can get the Alley Vipers and B.A.Ts is to order a case, which contains: AV (x2), B(x3) Gung Ho (x1)…which is shelf warming in my country. Apparently solid cases aren’t avail if not, I would grab a case of AV and B.A.Ts each.
I know it's unlikely, but what are the odds it's a different GH? The first one is pretty video-game-tastic. I could go for an improved classic version.
Gung Ho aside, that’s a good case assortment(helps if you wanted Gung Ho but missed out…maybe better if there’s some deco refinements).
I’d assume there would be a deco change based on Hasbro’s past precedent when they re-released the wave 1 figures mixed in new waves. That would explain why they are packing him 3 per case anticipating demand for a more accurate Gung Ho.
One filler doesn't sound so bad for a case of troops (if you can't get a straight case of each). I realize it would be best if you didn't have to buy any duplicates you didn't want, but 5 out of 6 isn't terrible. Hope you get all the troops you need anyhow!
Barbecue shipped! Now I can finally close the tab that I've had open for like a month in case I needed to approve a delay.
If I had to guess, I'd say no. there's no product picture with a damaged head, and unless it's hiding behind the cardboard, it isn't visible in package.
