Ahh, the V5. Hopefully we’ll get to see either one of those as repaints. Here’s my horribly crude bash of the yellow Battle Corps (minus the “tiger stripes” on his pants):

I didn’t like most of Battle Corps as while repaints were a thing in Gijoe, that line was literally full of repaints. However I always liked the V2 battle mask and how it looked like a snake mouth when opened up. There were a few other things I liked from Battle Corps like the Dominator, Ghost Striker, Night Creeper Leader and a few more. Some of the figures could make for great design inspirations in the classified line due to the gear. That reminds me a LOT of what I tried with my Shadow Ninja Storm Shadow and the plastic acted similarly….hmm
Thanks for the heads up, I ordered one as well. My Pulse PO got pushed to December, and I'm getting impatient as I've been looking forward to this one. And it's $39.99 to boot, not $41.99!
Got a few of movie Baroness, gave 2 of them helmets fron CI Baroness and am using then as generics, the unhelmeted one is their commander
It ended up being those Battle Corps repaints that really got me into Joes as a kid. I was too young for the original lineup, and missed out on everything pre-movie. I’m also sure all of those loud and extreme 90’s colors from the repaints helped matters a bit Also, I couldn’t agree more on how cool V2’s battle mask was
One big thing about the sky striker is all the old ones fit 3.75" figures but the rest of the jet was scaled 1/24 instead of 1/18. Now its fully licensed accurate 1/18 scale f14 tomcat.
Thrilled for the Alley Viper report. I’ll only buy one though because he’s a specific character in my head canon. Now we need Night Viper. I wasn’t originally interested in the Cobra Officer but looked at his accessories in the photos and got hooked. Unfortunately he’s sold out on Amazon now. I’ll just have to wait for now. I don’t love him enough to pay for shipping yet with BBTS or elsewhere.

PO-ed Storm Shadow, Spirit, Croc Master and Outback from my import shops! I’m on the fence with the Python Patrol figures because of the colours…I always find them er, too off? Looking forward to the Alley Vipers and regular Bats…the issue is how many should I pick…maybe I’ll get 3-4 Alley Vipers and maybe 8-10 Bats. After that it will be Twins and Mindblender and I can go slow with this line.
My head canon is that the Python Patrol is a group of Cobra "irregulars" thrown together as a single unit of cast-offs and misfits. A combination of elite crack squad and embarassing write-offs. If anyone gets the reference, kind of like the Lost Numbers from Guyver.
I have them as a splinter faction Bludd took with him when he defected from Cobra not satisfied with Serpentor's command. They serve as a "legitimate" private security force for countries who have a weak or no military of their own.
