Really hoping they don't screw up this Zartan release. IMO this is an example of a colored deco done right. I'll happily keep both. The dark version is also nice. Looks like he gets to keep the bike.
Yeah, I hope they don’t either. The Pulse con version will look bad ass on the Chameleon skier I had made. Though I was a bit disappointed Hasbro went with a temperature changing plastic and not photo changing.
Bought the Snake-Eyes but passed on Storm Shadow. For whatever reason it doesn’t resonate with me....then I saw the V2.
Was anyone else expecting their Retro Grunt and Cobra Officer preorder this weekend and not have it shipped yet?
got the email...never got a fedex text to let me know it was picked up. Delivered yesterday without any notice. Would have sat out all night had I not had to go back out to the store.
Lately, the app and the website aren't telling me when something has shipped. It just shows up randomly and I get a delivery notification.
The officer yes. Grunt no. I canceled grunt because I found him in Walmart weeks ago. Got order has shipped email weds night? I never got text from FedEx so I wasn't expecting it but was there Saturday around 4.
Guys...is it normal to have a "lull" in terms of announcements for new figures for Classified Joes? Maybe I have been buying a lot in the previous months so the lack of anything is a bit er, unnerving for me.
The line is slow to provide updates. There's going to be a gi joe panel on saturday during pulsecon so we will get news then
Yeah, Classified is kind of slow when it comes to announcements and has less releases per year than most of Hasbro's other 6" lines. Like Fenrys said, we should finally be getting our first update on the line since June at the GI Joe panel during PulseCon. Though it looks like it's only a half hour panel so I'm not expecting much. Probably the first waves of Classified and the Retro lines for next year and probably the next set of Target exclusives.
I actually appreciate the slow releases. Saves me money and energy. I have a feeling that 2022 is going to BIG though with Warden and the 40th so I think things will change very soon.
Like the others said, Pulsecon at the end of the week. They are bound to announce something at that point. Other than that I would just say that the assorted slowdowns are catching up to everything, including raw materials supply shortages. We're probably not hearing much because what is to be released will come out at Pulsecon, and other than that I'm not sure there's much that can be done. It sounds like most companies are trying desperately to get product moving now just to get here in time for Christmas shopping, but even then it may be slim pickings. I'll just ride the wait out and try to keep paying down preorders as best I can. The line will carry on, and probably just keep getting better.
Crazy, my preorder for 2 grunts and a officer says arriving today but the order was never shipped. Walmart is a crapshoot at best.
Oh yeah, me too. Especially since I actively collect Transformers, Power Rangers, Marvel, and Star Wars... and that's just the stuff from Hasbro. Having a line that doesn't have a large output is actually pretty nice.
Thanks for the updates guys! Being a huge fan of Joes and finally getting 6 inch figures of them has been a really kick for me. I was just worried that the SE movie being a flop put Hasbro off… Currently, I’m hoping we get the twins, Shadow Shadow (that’s a better homage to the OG version) and Mindbender. Anything else is a bonus for me.
I hope you’re right It has been since management has changed 2-3 times IIRC since we 1st heard of Classified. With Warden onboard given his previous experience on the team and that he’s still there, maybe things will move in a clearer direction. The newer molds from the retro Joes are manufactured in Vietnam instead of China now, I’m not sure if the 1st wave of repaints were as well. Given that some of the releases didn’t make sense(like using 30th anniversary Storm Shadow mold instead of the Ultimate 1984 Storm Shadow from Retaliation wave 4 and making a new FANG that looked like a CORPS! helicopter), I wonder if Hasbro still has access to all of their previous joe tooling in China and/or only moved some of it to Vietnam. If they only moved a little and don’t or can’t use the molds they had in China, I wouldn’t expect too much next year for retro joes. I would be happy to be wrong though.
