Let counter with, why start now? 80% of the RAH update line vehicles are: "Retool the pilot seats, maybe swap stickers for paint. And we're done."
If it's 999.99 I would take it considering it's new in the box and not a used one years old off of eBay for thousands more. Does anyone remember the original Haslab price of Unicron and how payment went for it ? Personally I would buy this in 2 payments and my guess is they would keep the price closer to $700-800 but I could see $1000 as well just hope it wouldn't be that high.
I'm a former owner of a Flagg, which I bought and sold in my 20's. It's the kind of thing you think you want until you have it a couple years and realize how much real estate it takes up, how it doesn't fit together all that well, and how most of the play features are centered in the relatively small section of the tower, which you can't really access if the ship is against a wall. I miss many of the Joe vehicles I sold back then, but I wouldn't own the Flagg again.
I remember being in middle school and we were below middle class, but somehow that big ass sucker was in our dining room taking up all the space. I don't remember how I got it and what happened to it but I thought I could never top G1 Fortress Maximus till that thing showed up....good memories.
The Jackson Gollum did a good job at making Gollum a sympathetic character, even though he ultimately never redeemed himself. Plus, his humour was a much needed foil to the overbearing Samwise Nursemaid character. I can't imagine animated Hobbit Gollum in a live-action LotR trilogy. It would be the stuff of nightmares.
All Targets in my area are in the middle of a reset for next week. They're sitting on pallets of toys until the reset is done.
these are some of the biggest moments i miss about the states, walking into Target or Wally and seeing a reset and fully loaded shelves for 10mins before it all disappeared again
I wouldn’t mine Hasbro rereleasing they Mobile Command center that came out in 1987. They did reissue it for Spy troops back in the early 2000’s.
All of my Targets and Walmarts have looked that empty for weeks now, maybe months. The point is not to hold on to stock and then dump it all out in one day, only to have it all gone and empty again for weeks.
I was about to say, looks like my local Target the past few months (and my local Walmarts for the past like 5 years or so). But yeah, I still get excited when I see a hard reset and a new wave of figures, though it's not exactly the same. Even for something like Beast Machines (which looking back, IMHO had a mediocre wave 1), I remember distinctly when I first walked into a Target and saw it stocked with the new figures and the excitement.
Do you have the Spytroops one and if so, how was it? The Night Force Moray that was released back in 2004-05 had absolute trash quality, sad to see such a great mold from the 80’s degrade that much. TRU clearanced it to $20 and it still sat. The only redeeming factors were Night Force Flint and Beachhead using the original bodies. I’d love to see it return but as a new mold reverse engineered from the original and and tooled to last just like the 2011 Skystriker.
Many Targets I stop at look like this all the time. The camo deck Moray is bad from what I recall of it. Mine is sitting in storage but the only thing I recall being of question was the "camo" piece itself. The plastic, if I recall correctly, was soft due to the process of blending the plastics like that.
This is what my Targets always look like. Basically just DC figs, power Rangers, and He-man and Skeletor.
Good lord this is freaking sad it looks like you could see a tumbleweed going across the floor because it's so dang barren.
