By my count there have already been (after today's announcement) 14 exclusive figures in the Classified line. The product numbers on the boxes have just hit #30 (as of today's announcement). That just feels crazy to me.
Pulse membership continues to teeter on bait and switch — promise access to items to get member sign ups but not actually have enough quantity for the memberships totals you acquire in hope that now that you have their membership they will simply buy something else. That’s pretty much the definition of bait and switch.
Same. I was even in the process of verifying my payment and it sold out. Screw it. I'm done. Can't really say it was fun, but at least I like the ones I was able to get.
Gotcha, I didn't make it to payment before it got pulled from my cart and couldn't remember if it said preorder or not Pulse stocks limited quantities of "partner exclusives" now and have been for several months, but it's at the discretion of the partner stores to enter into that agreement (according to a customer service person I spoke to)
Lol, what a fucking joke. Love the new Breaker/Ram and Barbecue, but won't ever be able to get them. Add them to the list with Baroness, Beach Head, Firefly, Viper and Bludd. I dig the Amazon Roadblock, but I think I'm gonna pass. I'm getting off this ride.
Do you believe that Hasbro likely reserved some for non-members rather than giving members access to them all to create value for the membership and drive member sign ups?
There's always been enough when I've ordered. Only reason I've missed out on the Viper is because I made the choice no to order it the first time it was put up. Early access is a perk of membership, and sales are sales. When it comes to the partner exclusives I don't think they hold anything back because their stock is already limited
that's how they used to do things, now they want to have a reason for you to buy premium so it seems like they stopped saving items for non members.
They do split it up for mainline and their own exclusives (if memory serves), but they're already limited on what they can sell for partner exclusives, so it'd be pretty nonsensical to do a split for them since that's a driving reason to even get premium
Damn, oh well. I've never had as hard a time to buy figures from a retail toy line as I have with GIJoe Classified. I can totally understand why others that were excited by this line have stopped collecting it. All I want is that Classified Storm Shadow whenever they decide to release him and I'll be happy.
This Joe event was nothing but more hot air. Its surprising hearing how many people are done with both the classifieds and black series lines, but secondary market values are at an all time high.
