Mind you, this was for a pair of Troopers, not one. They ran about $75 each. It would have been a good deal if not for the ridiculous shipping. $50 and it was EMS. I could have paid the same money or less shipping DHL and had them in days instead of weeks. Makes me less than eager to do business with RK on a consistent basis.
I can't believe it hasn't even been 9 months since all this madness kicked off. It seems like years have passed. Remember Target's system claiming Cobra Island's on-sale date of August 14, then Hasbro's social media post claiming that CI exclusives would be available in-store Aug 1? Remember when figures started appearing before August 1? Some collectors scrambled while others said they'd simply wait for the 14th? By the 14th, most stores were sold out awaiting restock. I remember walking into the Acworth, GA Target on August 5, snapping this pic and posting it here: 6 Beach Heads, 6 Troopers, fresh from the case. It was glorious. Little did we know collecting this line would only get harder.
My Cobra Commander Regal Variants finally shipped from Pulse. Coincidently I sent them an email just a few days ago complaining about the hold up since last year.
Same thing happened to me with my Snake Supreme Commander. It said paid/unfulfilled for about 2 weeks. I finally emailed to ask if my order was ok (I get that things happen, sometimes), but never got a response. A couple of days later, it showed up. No shipping notice or emails. Never heard from them, at all. On another note: walked in to Wal-Mart, this morning, and walked out with Flint and Lady Jaye. Just left behind a pissed off Cobra Commander (I'm just assuming) and (assuming again) a scalper exhibiting some bizarre behavior.
.....and Hasbro insists on waiting for a movie to push out more Joe supply...just push out more Joes Hasbro and order them up retailers! Still no movie and yet that guy not only found Cobra Commander but also Crystal Ball at Walmart!
Got these family figures for their guns, the guns actually work well with 6 inch figures the only one i have a problem with is the scar its alittle bit too big for 6 inch figures
Iirc i they were somewhere $3-$3.50 Theres another army men line at dollar tree where the guns also scale with 6 inch figures only problem is that i had to cut the triggers so they could fit in the hands ill post pics of them with figures later Bottom 2 are the family dollar ones btw
Those don’t look half bad....I’ll bet they look great from 3 feet away. The dollar tree weapons could maybe use a little mold flash cleanup around the edges...but they appear to be serviceable. And the little dudes they come with could be your midget support force, lol...
Pulse delivery today. They did deliver. yesterday got my marauder task force 3rd order to make a hard to find reasonably priced cobra sniper. My 2nd order i made a Lifeline 3.75.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Like I hope it will help distribution issues, but does that mean we should expect Joes to come with missing paint apps?
Thank goodness. He worked on POC, IIRC designed the Jungle Viper and may be the guy who finally got the Skystriker back on shelves. I think he changed brands by 2011, I’m glad he’s back on Gijoe!
