I mean once you get to the really out-there era you could do BAFs for stuff like Globulus or Nemesis Enforcer, but I think if you had to do a build a something, the smaller vehicles would be better... Zartan's swamp vehicle, a C.L.A.W., a Flak Cannon, attack glider, etc... As far as accessories go, some wouldn't like it but give me an accessory pack. Heck, pack them in a box like the old sigma six toys. I'd buy it. But fix distribution first.
Well holy shit. Score today!!! First time I’ve seen Joes on the pegs since Christmas Eve last year. The 2 were there, the troops and Zartan were on the bottom shelf. I obviously missed one. Was it the Duke or SE repaint? I’ve been search at Targets but looks like Walmart’s finally getting a restock too.
Snake-Eyes did get a repaint, but he wasn't in this wave. There's really not much difference between the redo and the original when it comes to SE and Destro anyway compared to Duke, Scarlett, and Roadblock.
Thanks @Shin Densetsu Wow someone just took a Zartan but left the Cobra Troops. @Dark Jedi Its the repaint Roadblock. I honestly dig the new RB better than the original although the Scarlett is nice it feels like a desert mission colour. I’ve read through the last 12 pages and got caught up. Seen so many takes on that news though. They have been releasing exclusives on Pulse. They must have some new clause where they get shared now due to the stores mishandling of the exclusives. Neca yanked a TMNT exclusive from Wally and sold it themselves. Just earlier I had an email the Wally retro Headmasters were on Pulse so maybe that’s how they will handle the reruns?? The fuck ups due to store handling and distribution hold ups are killing the line for some people. I follow several toy shops and they’ve been posting lots of Classified people are dumping. I saw a pic being shared by a port in California there’s 21 ships waiting to dock and some are going on their 3rd and 4th weeks sitting there. Out of the 3 main lines I collect, 2 are nightmares. Hasbro seems to be doing a better job, maybe due to less coming from China but Joes are nonexistent and I constantly see new waves of Marvel Legends, Power Rangers and Transformers hitting frequently. I’m in the no BAF camp. I can’t think of many characters that would benefit and doing equipment or small vehicles would suck If you wanted multiples for display. Give us more guns or accessories like the POC was or even extra hands. I think Lenny mentioned in an interview he imagined Road Pig being 8” or 9” tall. Legends takes advantage of the deluxe figures sku like that new Thanos or the movie Black Widow. I think bikes are necessary for Dreadnoks wether they’re bundled with figs or sold separately. I picture something like the ML Punisher bike but I imagine they’ll make them high tech sci fi types. I’m wondering if next year they’ll have anniversary figs on retro cards like the BS Star Wars ones. They’ve said any exclusive figures are special mission based so I figure we’ll see a more classic Firefly with out the vest or more darker green Beachhead coming. And that Storm Shadow shirt was his regular Classified design. It was leaked with that Malaysia camp adventure awhile ago and also on the website. I know people didn’t like the Yakuza sleeve but it’s more modern addition that really wasn’t possible on figs in the 80s. I’m alright with it. It will probably come out nicely on the pinless arms. He’d have to be a deluxe figure for sure. Look at the deco on the Snake Supreme CC, it’s probably on par with being that expensive to produce.
Wait what...oh no...I don’t think ARAH was that much taller than other Joes. Taller and a bit stockier sure but to be 3ft or so taller than everyone else...that’s a bit much.
Here are some pics of the CC helmet. I left the protective covering on the visor for now, but you can still get a good idea of how reflective it is.
It's jack crap over here in Canuckle Land @Dr Kain. Some of the Classified Joes never seem to exist when you look for them.
It's not just GI Joes in my area, it's practically everything Hasbro does. Except for McFarlane's DC figures and the MOTU Origins stuff, my Walmarts look like barren deserts down their toy isle.
I still have never seen a Classified figure in person except for Roadblock and Scarlet last year when they first showed up. My Walmart and Target made pegs for them, but then did away with them without ever stocking anything. It’s sad, really.
Saw no GIJoes in Korea as of my first trip out, nothing in the TRU in Daegu, but I didnt get to check out all the outlier toy stores either
Was really beginning to give in to despair on this Line, after last year being able to at least get most of what I wanted without having to resort to eBay muggings this year has been dryer than unbuttered toast. So now it's just waiting on whenever the hell Firefly and the troops will finally land.
