After monthsss of waiting, Snake Supreme finally arrived today from Hasbro Pulse! The detailed artwork on the packaging and the figure is sssuperb. I hope this line lasts long enough to give us a Deluxe Serpentor with Air Chariot in a similar vein to this release. I'm also gonna need them to release some Iron Grenadiers with an IG Destro to lead them.
A welcome done, soft goods cape, Serpentor with snake spear and Air Chariot would be amazing. I would easily pay $50 if they did right by the accessories and kept the costume a better modernization of the 86 figure than what 25th gave us. In other news, the Cobra Infantry that Amazon is supposed to have on my door by Monday still hasn’t shipped. Looks like we’re looking at a delay. Darn it.
I always liked the original Serpentor and the 25th version was a complete letdown. It would be nice to get something closer to that original look.
Got my second Supreme Cobra Commander a few days ago and opened him up. Awesome figure those the cape in a bit long. Though I love the soft goods. Oh, if you are wondering he was involved in an art heist.
I got a set of the Yada GI Joe miniatures to hide in Easter eggs. My son loves them. The problem now is that I do too. I don’t want to invest in a line that will not do many more vehicles. I’m still waiting for them to release Jazz and Jetfire.
Thinking of selling my wave 1 Scarlett and Roadblock if anybody wants them. I have never once seen these at retail and thus have just lost interest.
My Zartan just shipped from Amazon. Should have him tomorrow. Looking forward to getting him. Now to find a bow to give him since he didn't come with one for some reason...
Wave 4 not been announced yet. Most places never got the commander or rest. Walmart still lists them as 05/04 date. But most people are certain there will be a wave 4. Probably Flint, major bludd, and recondo. With a joe vehicle most likely the armadillo, sharc, or ghost(sky) hawk.
Question about the ‘84 Joe figures — anyone know if the torso pieces were also sonic-welded or glued, beyond the screw in the back? I have a Thunder figure I’m trying to take apart — I’ve removed the back-screw, but I can’t get the two torso pieces apart. They won’t budge at all and I’m afraid to force it. I’ve never had this issue before, but then I’ve only taken apart ‘85+ figures in the past.
Any recommendations for new o-rings to repair old ARAH? Anything to look out for? I wasn’t allowed to leave Easter dinner without taking the last few boxes of assorted toys from my folks’ house. Time to inventory, clean and repair.
You can get them on smalljoes.com or ebay (probably on Amazon too). You’ll want to stretch them out a bit before hooking and looping them.
Oh definitely - that was a poor redesign in the 25th. Fortunately, one of the DVD Battles sets came with a more classic-inspired Serpentor. I actually kept that one (and one of the 25ths because I wanted to keep the Air Chariot).
To be honest the only glued torsos I know of would be Zartan and his siblings. I have changed out 84 guys before and never had an issue before, though I don’t think I have changed a Thunder out before.
