    Sounds? It is!

The concept of doing different versions of characters from different universes is too good for DC to pass up. But unfortunately they seem to be rushing into it, just like with their Justice League setup.

With the multiverse, everything is canon. The Snyderverse will occupy a different earth than, say, the Pattinson earth, but they will exist simultaneously.

He’s a highly intelligent man, so I’m just going to guess that the Russo Brothers and the makers of Star Trek Discovery weren’t listening to a lot of things he was talking about (I liked Endgame btw, but you have to admit the time travel wasn’t that consistent).

It wouldn’t be the first time that happened. My Ancient Greek history professor in college said that one of the writers of Brad Pitt’s Troy movie was in his class, and he could definitely tell that he wasn’t a very attentive student and only skimmed through The Iliad and The Odyssey.

Heh, "the 'science' of time travel" :rolleyes2  That's cute.

That's putting it mildly. I liked Endgame too, but their 'highbrow' take on time travel was every bit as much of an inconsistent and ridiculous clusterfuck as everyone else's ever has been. It only followed its own rules when convenient to the plot or particular character arc, then contradicted itself at every other turn. Like. Every. Time. Travel. Movie. Ever. Made.

    It really wasn't.

And that's why I hate multiverses.

Its also a way for a lazy writer to change/retcon stuff without putting much effort into it. Wish you hadn't done that a few seasons back....time travel.....there, all changed and we'll say it is a change in history.

I think the ONLY time travel movie that I've seen where they got it right was The Final Countdown. The way to time travel didn't make any sense but even before they time travelled, the actions they will do in the past have set the world to the way it is today.

How about no? How about we just have a nice simple Flash movie of Barry learning how to be The Flash and taking on nice simple non-super powered criminals like Captain Cold and Heatwave? They can easily make it a heist movie with a super hero movie inside of it.

Time travel makes history flexible. That's its charm and its burden.

Didn't that film strip away the gods and treat it as a (rushed) human war drama?

It did and it was probably the worst version of those stories I've ever watched.

The Flash Director Teases Film's Time-Travel Plot

Muschietti was featured on a radio show, with his quotes having been shared online after the fact. “It is a story of time travel: Flash travels back to try to save his mother," Muschietti said. "It is a spectacular action movie but it has a big heart.”
