Probably not, considering they are fictional characters.

It seems like the newer movies want relate to the first few movies as little as they possibly can, so I doubt it. It's weird that the way your title was fraised, I bought u meant the original primes. strange that there were 7 of them and seven humans who founded s7, I wonder if that was an intentional parallel or just a coincidence.

? I thought they were trying to bridge the gap between them immensely more and relate to them more then what had previously been done. That is what the production team was saying anyway.

Well I don't know about that. It has been confirmed that the film will shed more light on the history of the Primes.

Not to forget that the writers room have tried to find ways to connect all plot holes in the movies and fit them together and since this movie will explain why the Transformers always ended up on earth, its likely we could get a reason as to why the Allspark landed on earth, why The Fallen wanted to destroy our sun out of all suns in the galaxy and so on.

Except we already did in the trailer - "Without sacrifice, there is no victory."

We've already had the witwicky motto, that is more of a reference to the first film than all of the others, but still them all nonetheless.

Yeah but they will likely do what all the other movies did ignore and try to rewrite the history/backstory to them.

The impression I get from the trailer is that Anathony Hopkin's character is a part of a a much older organization. The First 7 came together when the Allspark was discovered in 1913, while Anthony Hopkin's character seems to know about Transformers history on Earth extending centuries before that.

I still think he won't be a mere human since there are implications that he been around for a while.

A that actually struck me about Merlin and had me left wondering for a while. So many of us assumed he's just a human that got Cybertronian technology. But could it be possible that Merlin and maybe even Anthony Hopkins are Alpha Trion?

My thought process went like this from the information I've gathered. After the Omega Key had been left on Earth, Alpha Trion stays on Earth to guard the key, taking on a human appearance. As he guarded the key, he was watched and observed history and knows it's all tied to the one thing he guards.

Except they won't. Because they specifically stated they would explore the mythology and connect the films. Hell even the plot synopsis proves this. Idk where you keep thinking this dude, either you actually believe this, or are just trolling.

Well I'm of the persuasion that they HAVE to explain, the mere fact that they have deliberately linked the trailer to the first 3 movies already, coupled with the fact that earth has and still is it seems, the go to place for every single piece of important cybertronian tech....even for the creators.

That alone tells me that we are about to get a heavy education about wtf has been going on all these years

The artifacts on Earth don't need an explanation none of them are there by accident. Think back to the history. Why is the Allspark on Earth, the answer lies in Revenge of the fallen what was in Sam's head the Allspark where did the symbols lead the matrix, these were the same symbols his great grandfather was seeing that Megatron sent him. Think about it, what use would the Allspark be on ancient Earth unless Megatron wanted it for different reasons. Megatron went after the Allspark so it could lead him to the matrix. The Allspark came to Earth because the matrix was there. Megatron chose Earth for his and Sentinel's plan because that's where the Matrix was.

That's why, The Fallen choosing Earth's sun set in motion a chain reaction that linked our planets fate. The Fallen chose our sun because he saw us as worthless life forms unworthy of life. That's it that's why everything came to Earth. These answers are in the movies Sam specifically says he is seeing the same symbols his ancestor did, we are told the Allspark knows where the matrix is. We are told Megatron needed the matrix to revive Sentinel. It's all there you don't need an explanation why everything keeps coming to Earth you already got one it's called Revenge of The Fallen.

I see what you are saying but it's more of a flow chart of timelines you are describing there not a description and explanation of.....why? That's part of the key quote in the trailer...."you want to know why don't you!? Why they keep coming here!"

There's lots that is as yet, unexplained. That needs more attention, why does the all spark arrive on earth and what is it that links it into the rest of transformers movie lore, not only what links it but why it is linked and how it was linked.

I'm still intrigued by the constant reference to 7 in the movies, also just doing some maths with apparent important people in the movie history, if you discounted the fallen and added in the first 7 to the original primes then that makes 13
