Well, the only Transformer that really got the attention of my wife is Shockwave.

 

Huh... Poll results seem to be bearing the stereotype out....

 

And exactly how are you judging that? MOST of the votes are NOT for 'OMG I want to have his babies' and 'dreamy'.

So because people like him, that makes them ALL 'stereotypical Screamer fangirls'? Is that right?

Do you consider all the people who think Prime is 'awesome' to be 'stereotypical crazy Prime fangirls', ala Bonita Prime?

I've never heard of this stereotype before (Then again I've only loved Transformers for like, half a year) But most female fans have they're own favorite and they very pretty well.
I don't think I've actually met a female Starscream fan...

That last poll option made me lol, I was tempted to click it...

 

I've never met a female fan who seems to be overly Starscream obsessed (or overly crazy - maybe it's telling but out of my group at AA, the girls generally are the sane ones!), but I've seen some girls at Botcon wearing jackets based off the red parts of the Generation 1 toy design which look plain cool.

It's preference at the end of the day, we've all got our own character likes. I'm partial to a good bit of Skywarp, myself.

 

Personally, I thought not only that I was the only Starscream fangirl in existence, I thought i was the only Transformer fan (in my area), PERIOD. Until I saw one issue of the Marvel comics in like 1988 or 1989 where some gal named Linda wrote in the letters section that "I love that guy!"

So when Transformers stopped being broadcast in 1989, I was so not surprised.

Over the years, I still like Starscream a lot but in the past few years my affections have started to include G1 Scourge for some reason.

I don't think I'm a "typical" Starscream fangirl, however. (But yes I DO want to have his babies, and Scourge's too!)  

 

I met a crazy screamer fangirl once, it was at the botcon 2010 hall of fame dinner

 

All the women that know transformers only know the movies and you know Bayformer Starscream is definatley not the ladies bot.

 

See, this is the reason why I didn't vote. If all the choices from "he's awesome" and above are considered the "crazy, rabid fangirl" answers, that only leaves one with the choices of saying that he's okay or hating him/preferring another character. What if you like Starscream as a character and don't want to have his robo-children? What if you only like one version of Starscream?

Since I don't think any of us have received any creepy PMs from socially awkward fanboys/girls yet, I don't think that plan is working.  

Oh boy! An entirely new stereotype!

I said PRIME Starscream was awesome as a character - he's not someone I'd hit on.

Movie Ironhide on the other hand <_<.

 

I remember how much the fangirls gushed over Animated Starscream...

It was to the point where you could never read comments of a TFA Screamer video without talk of him being sexy.

(Shudders).

I've never been a Starscream fan - I usually fall somewhere between "I dislike him" and "I hate his guts". That goes for the movieverse, G1, etc...... The type of character Starscream is just irritates me. My reaction to the character in G1 was "Make a move and take command or shut up!"


I do think Prime's Starscream is currently one of the better characters on the show - I wouldn't call myself a fan of him, but I'm intrigued by the directions they could go in with him. First time I can say that about Starscream.

It's pretty obvious who my character is   .

I could get on board with that one!!! Sky-Byte is FANtastic!! One of the few Cons I like!!!

Thought crossed my mind as well....but it beats the "Where are the wimmenz?" threads we've had in the past.
