An idea thats had many threads, But i got to thinking.

The autobots are at this point, Criminals under the law... So could Sam, Carly and maybe even Simmoms be om jail? We all know Sam would never back down from saying the autobots are our allies, And his friends...

Just some thought, We may never know what happens but I have a feeling something bad did.

 

i doubt they're in jail.

plus.. didn't sam basically promise carly that he would never do anything like what happened in dotm again?.. i imagine he just moved on.. ESPECIALLY with the autobots in hiding. it wouldn't make any sense for them to be hanging around sam. with the decepticons pretty much eliminated, they really have no need to protect him either.

the yaegers finding prime, as of now, just seems to be a coincidence. so.. nah, i doubt the previous cast went to jail.

 

Knowing the writers' perpetual bad judgment, they'll probably either ignore the characters completely or tell us they are dead.

 

Apparently they go unexplained...

 

Well, That has led me to my other theory.

In dotm Optimus said this.

"You aret friend Sam, You will always be.. But you leaders believe we have brought vengance apon your plant. They are right.

You may lose your faith in us, But never in yourselves. "


What if Sam... Doesn't support the Autobots in there time of need again?
Optimus has faith in himself and his beliefs as an Autobot, For him to loose faith in humanity would to lose himself. And if Sam deserted the Autobots....

I mean, It makes sense right? For Optimus to be so crushed about it.

 

that's not bad.. like i said, it makes a bit of sense.

why would they talk about them?.. i'm sure the yaegers have no idea who the previous cast was.. and why would the autobots bring that up?

i'm sure the old cast just moved on.. and the autobots went into hiding which meant they went far away from them.

plus.. while this isn't a complete reboot, it's still a partial reboot.

to be honest, it's just not something i really care about. and it's DEFINITELY not one of the questions i have going into this movie. hell, i haven't even thought about it until this thread was brought up lol.

 

yeah, it would make sense that if sam moved on it would only add to primes growing distaste for how they've been treated by humans.

but which came first?.. did sam leave first? or were the autobots being picked off first?

if the autobots were starting to be killed first, then they'd have to be the ones to leave sam.. now if sam left first, then the autobots started getting killed.. .. oh who knows lol. but apparently it's not answered.. but i'll choose to believe that it was an equal sharing of events.. the autobots had to go into hiding, so they had to leave sam, and sam needed to move on with his life, and since he promised his girlfriend that he'd stay out of the mess, they all parted amicably. lol

 

That should be explained maybe that's why Optimus is also upset perhaps that is supposed to be the underlined theory Sam and the other allies betrayed him. So, naturally he is hurt and feels completely lost and angry by this.

 

According to early (most likely fake) reviews, they're never even mentioned again. But, Bay said that they'll be mentioned maybe.

 

I'd say that Sam and Carly become outspoken agiasnt the goverment...so..

Carly was found dead, having apperntly killed herself by jumping, and Sam apperntly shot himslef in the head

It's later discovered that they were killed, which puts Humanity agaisnt KSI and the goverment.

 

Actually, the reviews say Sam is briefly mentioned. Something about his new job as a gay pornstar.

 

Doubt they will get more than a passing line - as this script is likely a 'reboot script'

Chances are this script was originally intended as a 'new director' script going off a similar formula to the prior movies. Hence the lack of mention or consistency with prior films, change in human cast, change in tone, change in designs, etc...If the only connection to the prior films is the Chicago attack then its fallout in this movie makes little sense given the Autobots saved the world three times.

As for a few examples of why this is a rehash/reboot script;

First movie;
- Autobots on Earth hunted by humans (Sector Seven)
- Secret human organisation has a character serving as Decepticon leader (Sector Seven has Megatron)
- Human character ends up being bonded with Autobot (Sam + Bumblebee)
- Romance subplot (Mikaela + Sam)

Fourth movie;
- Autobots on Earth hunted by humans (KSI)
- Secret human organisation has a character serving as Decepticon leader (KSI has Galvatron)
- Human character ends up being bonded with Autobot (Cade + Optimus)
- Romance subplot (Tessa + Shane)
