You have that backwards.

 

1. Crane cables can really stop Optimus Prime for that long? really?

2. I'm truely bothered by the fact that Optimus had to fake their exile and let thousands of humans die so he can make an example out of them. That's not the Optimus I know and love. Optimus is a boy scout just like Superman. That's his weakness and that's why the good guys always seem much weaker than the villians. They might appear to be weaker but they always win in the end.

 

Oh GAWD..People are still complaining about those two names?really?It's not like Bay has chosen them.Ferrari and Mercedes did .Deal with it.

Can't ANY Transformer die in one god damn piece? It's like everyone needs their head/spine/throat ripped off, get dismembered or rot into pieces. The disrespectful death scenes and terribly rushed ending (plus Ken Jeong) put me off to what would otherwise be a great movie. I still rate it 7/10 though.

 

This was straight out of the G1 cartoon!! The only reason humans didn't die in the cartoon was because it was a kid's show.

 

How was flying away going to help his eye?

I wish this was not the truth, but it pretty much is.

 

Erm, the point of flying away was to escape with MERELY losing an eye, rather than flapping around, eventually getting your other eye poked with a bomb, get surrounded by enemy forces, then have your head blown off by the bomb.

 

So..Starscream is Psychic now? He knows Sam has a bomb and that he's going to be surrounded. Hmm okay.

'Cause to me, I just thought Starscream was just really fucking annoyed about his eye, and wasn't really fearing for his life at the moment. Flying away would have done nothing to alleviate what he was dealing with at the time. The poster said he should fly away if the eye thing bothered him...and flying away does nothing to alleviate that.

 

I'll I have to say is I read the novel thought it was amazing, saw the movie at 10 yesterday and was very dissapointed, I am jealous of all the fans here who had a good experience trust me every bone in my body wanted to love this movie...but i didn't..at all. To me it felt like us vs decepticons not autobots vs decepticons. The novel just had so much more transformers characterization that the movie didn't. I still love the first movie, I just feel everything after that lost the "transformers" feel

 

His other eye gets stabbed by the bomb... which was apparently ticking out loud. If the ticking was only deliberately exaggerated for the audience to know it is a bomb, and therefore Starscream wouldn't have known it is a bomb, the most logical thing to do when one, never mind BOTH, of your eyes gets stabbed out is to flee, especially when you're in a war zone and you know the Autobots are in the vicinity. So logical to flee? Yes. In character to flee? Yes. He didn't flee, that's a mistake in the writing there. That's how I feel anyway.

 

Plus, Sam was still attached to the eye.
Besides, Starscream has always been something of a whiny little bitch. I thought this actually fit the character. I'm sure NO ONE would be complaining if it was Megatron pulling the ee out.

 

Wish people had not spoiled major parts in thread titles months ago. Would've enjoyed it more, and I really am jelous of having not experienced the twist first hand, like my brother did.  

And did someone say, Decepticons? More like Dissapointacons. I mean seriously, the big four cons went out without much of a fight. I guess because they are such iconic characters to me, the way they were underplayed left me letdown. Laserbeak was total awesomeness though! Another one of my gripes was the ridiculous tonal shifts and the excessive humour. I mean right after Sentinel betrays the Autobots, it goes to Sam and his parents - who drained the impact and weight of the previous scene to me by bringing up the family meeting with Sam's mum making reference to the size of Sam's dick. Then there's the scene after Laserbeak kills the family. Ugh, and when Malcovich air boxes with Bee when Simmons is explaining an important plot point. Some other stuff was just unfunny.

 

the other thing too for me is when ironhide was killed, that was it. no mention what so ever. i was expecting someone to tell prime or see for him self and be like NOOOOOOO.

but nothing.

 

Only thing that bugged me was Ironhide going out the way he did.

 

But he was in an ally...he tried to get higher ground clearance (he was constantly firing his thrusters & scrambling around), where the humans couldn't follow him, but couldn't see well enough to escape & a narrow area between buildings is not somewhere a jet is going to take off from, alien or not; so transforming would have just made him a different shaped sitting duck. Just my   on the subject.

The lack of acknowledgement regarding Ironhide's death was disappointing, but with time restraints it's understandable (barely) that they chose to leave it out.

 

How does Prime even kill Megatron with one arm?

 

I say, let all this War and fighting go to Optimus's head, make him MAD and he becomes Nemesis Prime in the 4th movie and turns on the others lol. Know it will never happen but it would be funny.

 

The same way he killed The Fallen in ROTF while fighting off Megatron....way too easy and rushed.

 

Maybe its me, but was Ratchet barely in DOTM?
